SirNadroj Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Hi again! I present my third SP MOC: A Rabbit walker. I tried to make the legs resemble those of a rabbit, but I did not want to make the whole thing look conspicuously like a rabbit, I wanted it to be more subtle. The rabbit minifigure pilots the craft. I used Mr. Freeze's head underneath the nesquik head covering to make one eye red, one black. Thanks for looking ~ feedback is appreciated! :-) Quote
Hinckley Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Beautiful work as always. It reminds me of the stryders from The Dark Crystal. Quote
Brick Miner Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 im not sure i quite get it ??? whats the story behind the steam punk rabbit ??? Quote
SirNadroj Posted January 13, 2008 Author Posted January 13, 2008 Thanks Hinckley! *sweet* @Brickminer: There is no story really, I just liked the head combo of Mr. Freeze and the Quiky Head, so I made the figure a stemapunkish walker. I was never really much of a story writer for my MOCs.... X-D Quote
Batbrick Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Very cool, uique but at the same time, recognisably steampunk *y* The rabbit fig is cool, but I mostly like the subtle, "rabbitness" of the vehicle. Great job! Batbrick is Back! >:-) Quote

I was never really much of a story writer for my MOCs.... X-Dwell, i don't mean story like, "he woke up, got some breakfast, then went to work and found a carotcake on his desk."i mean that i can't place this character. with LEGO MOCing a lot of "story" is told visually. i really liked your first post-apoc MOC that you posted here on EB (the war ship), i thought it was developed very well, visually. the story was clear, and the world you created with the visual cues was very vivid. the characters "spoke" to me, and told me there story. this MOC looks complex in that it isn't just a car, or a house. there is obviously some concept behind it. its like there is a lot of story there, but i just can't quite read it... i thought maybe you could elaborate. for example, i don't think the visual cues are clear enough for me to determine if he is a mutant rabit/human... or a guy in a rabit suit - as an example. in other words, i think it needs some more developing, but has a lot of potential ;-) - BM Quote
ExoBuilder Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Good job! Though, at first, I thought it was a mouse! *wacko* The feet are my favorite part, I hope we see some more Stampunks from you! *sweet* Quote
zero1312 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 There should be a new subforum for all steampunk related, as another member suggested it before me. ;-) But anyway, a cool MOC. *y* *y* Quote
