Brickmaster Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Yeap. The biggest problem I can see is the odd colored click joints. I couldve changed that if I wasnt lazy, but I built this in like 2 hours. The top turret thing. Bad arial view! More crappy colored joints. Scarab Vs Gattling tank? Scarab. Scarab Vs Tank? Scarab. Scarab Vs Mecha? Ooh.. Scarab. Scarab Vs random guy in green armour?... Video game logic deceives me. The most accurate portions of the scarab are probably the legs, the body may be abit small, but I ran out of peices. Also yes, I know the joint colors are horrid, but hey. Thats what I had, and they only stick out so much because the rest of it is grey. Well, I tried. Lemee know what you think. Scarabs are hard to build. I challenge you to build one aswell! Quote
ExoBuilder Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 X-O X-O X-O when Youtold me you're building a Scarab, I didn't think you'd build it that quick! This is amazing! Who cares about oddly colored joints, I don't! I love the massiveness! *wub* *wub* *y* *wub* *y* *wub* *y* *wub* Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 13, 2008 Author Posted January 13, 2008 Thanks Mr Builder *wub* I also just created its mocpages; Please anyone rate or comment, I do appreciate it :-$ Here Quote

pietje Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 (edited) Great job, I like the SNOT- techniques *y* The oddly colours doesn't very matter I like the yellow light effects X-D Edited January 13, 2008 by pietje Quote
iamded Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I saw this on your MOCPages, and I think it's great! I haven't seen many Scarabs with a good leg design that's posable and can support the weight of the model. You seem to have nailed all of those points, great job! *y* ~Peace Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 15, 2008 Author Posted January 15, 2008 Thanks for the reviews guys :-$ I really had most my effort on the legs - It was a major pain to build 2 of each set, all being bery similar, I had to build 4 functional massive legs that really ate up my peices! |-/ I had almost nothing left for the body, and ended up being smaller than I wanted it to be. And as for it standing on its own - I had no idea it would either! I just built it put em on stood it up. Wasnt that hard :-$ But I didnt really think about it, and now that I have, Its kinda surprising 8- Quote
Some guy Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Nice one! I thought the scarab was more black-ish. Quote
Fender Bender Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Nice one!I thought the scarab was more black-ish. It is actually a dark shade of purple, as far as I remember. But purple pieces are really hard to come by, so i doubt it would be possible to build an all purple scarab. Brickmaster, your scarab is awesome! *y* *y* Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I've been waiting to see your scarab ever since you told me about it, and you have exceeded expectations!! It is way bigger than I thought, and despite the odd coloured joints (which aren't really noticeable) the legs are very good, I am surprised you managed to make it support itself!! Great job! And I love your green laser! Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 16, 2008 Author Posted January 16, 2008 Thanks very much :-$ I came out fairly happy with it - my only grievences are looking back at it, the legs seem kind of fickly, obviously the body abit small. The laser was a last minuite idea in the photoshoot aswell :-D Some are saying its the best leg design theyve seen so far :-$ Im pretty happy with it all. Quote
General Zen Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 That scarab is the best one that I have ever seen! com to think of it, it is the only one I have ever seen! X-D Fantastic work! it is very detailed and very accurate. Quote

Admiral Blockbeard Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 in one of the pictures it looks like the mec is peeing on the scarab! Great work. I love taking these down in Halo 3, so much fun! Regards, Cpt. PB Quote
Legoking Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Nice Scarab. Looks like exactly like the one in Halo 3. I like how you have different battle scenes with the Scarab, Tank and Worthog. Overall, you have done a nice job. Nice Master Cheif! Quote
