badchriss Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 I assume by now pretty much everyone knows or even has this Years 24 in 1 Seasonal Countdown Set (40222). Right now i`m wondering if anyone already found out which Minimodels can be build without being destroyed,so that maybe 4 or 5 Minibuilds use different Parts or if TLC really put that much Brainpower into it so People really have to destroy one Minibuild. I`m asking because i might want to häng those Minibuilds on a tiny Christmas Tree i have. Just something i`m wondering... Quote
BrickOCD Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 That's a good question. I wish I would have paid attention when we first started building the sets. I have some information but it's probably not the answer you are looking for. We wanted to build all 24 mini models and put them in clear fillable ornaments similar to the LEGO ornaments being sold on S@H. (You can get the clear ornaments cheap and in different sizes from Walmart online if interested. I tried to order the clear balls from LEGO online but they weren't in stock). All I can say to help is that you're not going to get very many. Maybe 2 - 5? We thought that three full box sets would be enough to do all 24. Two boxes have been opened so far and after raiding our stash many, many times we are half way through the second instruction manual and have only completed 15. Now we are at a stand still waiting to finish the inventory to see if we have the pieces needed on hand -or- have to open the last set -or- just order the rest of the parts from Bricks and Pieces. (Our next idea is to make garland out of lego 2x2 and 2x4 bricks but can't quite get the nerve to drill into a LEGO piece in order to string them together with fishing line. If you have any other ideas on that - it would be much appreciated.) Sorry I couldn't be more specific. Hope this helps until someone can answer more precisely. Quote
legoboy3998 Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 BrickOCD, why not either add a plate on tomp if the brick with the fishing line in between. Or stack up two or three plates with the line in between, no drilling needed. Sal WFB, WI Quote
BrickOCD Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 (edited) Thank you so much Legoboy3998. We would not have thought of that. It will also make a nice looking garland and still be fun to build. Brilliant Edited November 14, 2016 by BrickOCD Added text Quote
