LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 (edited) Hello everyone, before posting my new locomotive I want to share this simple MOC with you: the panorma coach for the glorious 7740! The idea was born from the desire to have an observation car with the same features of the set 4547 but with a roof profile with inclination of 33 degrees The internal structure is an exact replica from the original 4547 set, and the car will be inserted between the passenger car and sleeping car of my 7740 A simple and effective MOC for the 80's train lovers See you soon with my next locomotive! koalayummies Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 That is awesome and very nostalgic. Those old sink pieces . Great job making it compliment the rest of your train. Quote

Sven J Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I got the 7740 for Christmas 1984 (and 7745 one year later) - and was stupid enough to eventually throw it away during my teenage years, when Lego trains seemed a childish waste of time... Yet, if I still had that wonderful train, I would immediately copy your lovely wagon! Looking forward to your new loco! Quote
pinioncorp Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Lovely wagon. Doesn't ruin the coloured stripe down the side and doesn't stick up above the roof. The parts you've used make it look like it was a set to begin with. Well done. But aren't the sinks facing the wrong way? Quote

Hey you're right ...great attention to details ...I must change the position of the sinks or in the morning those guys will have to wash the hands from outside! jtlan Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Very clever. Although I normally build more realistic models, I find the "official" lego style quite charming. It seems like you should use the 80s wheelsets to make it fit better with the rest of the train, though? Quote

Use the 80's wheelsets is possible, as you can see in this other wagon... ...but I've already changed the wheels to the entire convoy putting those from 9 volts era to reduce friction Quote
monai Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Lovely, also if I was too old for the 12volt grey era, this train was a must and you have put the icing on the cake Sergio abd Eros Quote
dr_spock Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Sweet addition to the 7740. It's a classic. Quote
Man with a hat Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Oh, I love the 80s classics. And that is a nice addition. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 Hey guys, I am really overwhelmed by all the positive reactions! Thank you Quote
scottwb2010 Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Hi LEGO Train 12 Volts. Great reproduction of set 4547 Clubcar in the colours of the 7740 train. I know how this fits in very well with 7740, as have made one myself and currently building another. I like your take on using different viewing windows on the upper part. Did you do this for effect or the part 2582 hinge panel 2 x 4 x 3 1/3 being quite expensive? Quote

Captain Green Hair Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 That's no eighties minifigure! Simple but nice, fits right into the set! Quote
Younge Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Great idea for a great train!!!! Keep on keeping the grey era alive!!! Quote
