Jannik Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Coronet City, the jewel of Correllia... ...At least that was what the tourist holos had claimed. This district had seen better days, although the statue looming over the warehouse entrance probably represented someone who had been someone important at some time. I was searching for a blue repulsor van, that had disappeared without trace in this area after two recent attacks on corrupt business owners. Corsec had effectively turned a blind eye to these attacks, due to the nature of their victims, but a sizable bounty had been placed by the organisation who were starting to get annoyed by seeing their bribes go to waste. The repulsor van almost found me rather than the other way around, and I had to jump clear as it sped through the warehouse door. I ducked under the door before it slammed back down, and dived behind some crates. The driver, a Twi'lek, failed to notice me hiding away as he moved towards the rear door to unload. I had known what to expect, but hadn't really believed it until I saw with my own eyes... Battle droids, not seen since the clone wars, unloaded themselves as I watched. These ones looked their age, with not one having a matching set of limbs. They were clearly disposable assets, and whilst their limited programming meant that they didn't display fear, they also displayed no initiative and simply watched as I drew my weapon on the unsuspecting Twi'lek. "Please don't hurt me, I'm just a delivery driver" "A delivery driver with a bounty on his head! Where did you get these walking relics anyway?" "I think they collect them from Geonosis...but I really know nothing else I swear" "In that case you are of no further use to anyone" Bonus picture of the repulsor van: Thanks for looking Quote
Merc4Hire Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Poor delivery guy. Excellent looking scene! Clean scenery work and the scale and colors remind me of the old republic game. Also really digging the repulsor van and tree design. Quote
Forresto Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Wow really clean and well made scene! The sleekness also helps make the hodgepodge battle droids stand out more as being walking junk. Quote
Puvel Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Neat story! The build itself is nicely done as well. The building and pavement look great together and the interior has the right amount of clutter. The van looks nifty too, very inconspicuous! Quote
Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 You have Passed. The comments are below: 1) pass: I think it could do a better job capturing the Star Wars vibe, but another Twi'lek build kind of suffered the same deficiency. Maybe it's just the sidewalk/curb and striped road that I didn't not like, but it's a clean, well-shot, and has advanced techniques. 2) pass: The city setting really captures the Star Wars vibe and the story and characters are great! 3) pass: very clean and with interesting elements but a little to ordinary in the matter that it almost look like a street 4) pass: great scene with a lot of clever elements like the subtle details on the door, the front of the repulsor van and the nice (but a little bit too short) overhanging piece of roof. Just a little bit more life on the streets would have been nice, since your clearly in a more busy part of town judging by the amount of people passing, so things like vending stands, trash collectors or other lively details might have made it a bit better. I love that it is both an exterior and an interior scene, although the feeling of both is so similar. A completely different light setup for the interior might make the difference clearer. Anyway, a great in universe build with a lovely emphasis on fitting textures instead of omnipresent greebles. Quote
