brickbuilder711 Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 (edited) Hey Friends! Here's my latest model, built just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Florida East Coast saw fit to repaint two locomotives in a special scheme to partner up with the Susan G Komen foundation. They look stunning, and I felt that I had to get around to building one. Hope you enjoy the pix! Edited October 22, 2016 by brickbuilder711 Quote
JopieK Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Nice job brick builder711. Looks very much like the original! Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 When I saw the words "Susan G. Komen" on here I thought you were talking about that other locomotive I waited to see in freezing cold temperatures once (UP 7400). This engine looks like it works in a lot warmer climate! Quote
koalayummies Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Very cool, its so realistic! And I like the use of a tile place vertically for the side windows. Quote
brickbuilder711 Posted October 22, 2016 Author Posted October 22, 2016 Thanks all! @JopieK: what's funny is that the image you borrowed, was from a train that I did see in person! I had a friend with me, that train was sitting at a double track in Boca Raton because they had to recrew. Quote

JopieK Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Here are both blue/pink FEC locomotives: 5103.1380334461.jpg @xboxtravis: the UP livery is of course also nice but to rebuild it into LEGO I would also definitely go for the Florida East Coast version. Quote
brickbuilder711 Posted October 23, 2016 Author Posted October 23, 2016 Thanks guys and agreed! The FEC is my home railroad so I've wanted to do this for quite some time. Unfortunately I heard the 7400 was repainted into a standard scheme recently. Anyway, here's video of the new MOC as well as the 714 which I finished a week prior. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIeierajWpA Quote
