Heksu Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 (edited) Hello! This is my vision of an old and ramshackle ranch (still running in 21th century). Edited October 4, 2016 by Heksu Quote
fordtruckin Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Looks great! It really brings out the Old West feel! Quote
Littleworlds Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Looks great! I especially like the lovely texturing for the walls and roof. Quote
Man with a hat Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Tha't's really nice. Lovely scene with the pig shed. And stunning detailing overall. I especially like the roofs. Impressive! Quote
Capparezza Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 That surely is some heavy beaten down building, very nice build. The 1x1 bricks in the beams for the front porch are nicely laid out, it never occured to me that bricks not lining up correctly can look that good Quote
LegoSjaak Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Oh wow, that is great.. i love the way you tiled the roof.. the fence is also great... it gives the look it needs!! Quote
Lord Sith Lego Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Very nice moc and especially that water well that can work in other themes. Quote
carebear Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Love this!!! - I love the way the figure sits, the floorboard that lifts-up under the chair gives it a great Old Shack feel to it Great Work!!! Greetings Quote
Only Sinner Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 The scene has plenty of character due to the thoughfulness of texture and color. I like the piggies, too. Quote
Heksu Posted October 8, 2016 Author Posted October 8, 2016 Thank you all for your kind comments! Quote
eve nightfall Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 That is really an impressive scenery! I am loving it! Looking at it, feels like I can hear the Wind in the trees and making the window move. And the waterplace looks so great! So many great details! Have you done the inside of the house, too? Quote
Legogal Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Ditto! Nice depiction of the many ranches that look like everything will collapse if not tended to, soon. Many US ranches look this way because the animals come first. And they take up a lot of time and energy. And provide income if a rancher is lucky and not in the middle of a 10 year drought, like the one I grew up in during the 50's. Many ranches in West Texas collapsed then due to lack of water for their stock. Our family ranch survived because it ran the auction house in San Angelo, and the family figured out how to breed some rare animals. While my father lost his share long ago, it is cool to see that ranch still in existence. The brick textures and details are lovely...as mentioned by others. Congrats on such a fine depiction of what can be a live or die existence on a Western ranch for tougher than leather ranching families. You must have been watching a lot of Western films because I didn't see anything resembling this in Finland! Quote
ProvenceTristram Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Love it. Particularly the siding and the fence. Quote
eliza Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Wonderful! Feels like a scene from a movie. Hmmm... the little white terrier doesn't seem like the typical ranch dog... but I guess when your other choices are chihuahua or husky.... Quote
