Finally! I've been waiting for you to post this!

This has to be my favorite creation from you. ( Yet that is ;-) )

This is truly wonderful!

I understand why you put "Pelican Wannabe" but I'd just like to point out a few things anyway.

First, take a look at this skematic.

PelicanII-Sil.gif

There's a major design flaw with your model according to the side view. The troop transport should be directly connected to the cockpit, they are one piece. The back end is then a giant wing with a lot of space underneath to carry cargo. From you pictures it looks like the mid section could possibly be the troop transport part and the back is an integrated cargo bay but I'm not quite sure. However, the troop transport should also have the capacity to hold 12 troops. Maybe they could fit right now, but again, I'm not quite sure. Also, you are missing two big thrusters in the back. I know you simply put red round 1x1s on the wings, but there are supposed to be seperate thrusters underneath the wings. Your model also lacks a "spine" that connects the back half cargo bay to the troop transport. The wings also aren't "chunky" enough. It's great that this model truly is studless, that right there is impressive, but I feel in trying to achieve that, you didn't give your model enough shape, enough of an organic feel. It looks really blocky to me. You can see what I mean in this picture.

Nonetheless though, I have to say that this a very nice MOC, and don't feel like I'm trying to attack you, I'm just analyzing your work since you did try to replicate an existing model. Plus, I have no right to attack because I haven't built one myself! :-P Nice job!

Well he did say it was a wannabe Pelican. Anyway, a neat Moc inspired by a videogame. I've always wanted to make a model without studs. Perhaps a Diesel Engine based on the DB 212... Great Job!

I built it out of memory and playing halo for an hour, rather than going off a blueprint - it was my own little version, rather than a completely accurate model, which I didnt want it to be. Thanks for the critisizm of that though, but I dont want it to be a perfect pelican >:-)

Looking at those 'real' pelican pictures makes me realize how wrong mine is, and how wrong basically everyone elses pelicans look now. Arg!

:-P

Cut me some slack? :'-(

:-$ ;-)

Don't worry, I am and will. ;-)

I unfortunately assumed that you were basing it off a model at hand and not on your own memory. It's a nice ship though, don't get me wrong about that. I'm just saying it ain't the real deal, and you know that, so it's no big deal.

Sadly on some other forum sites ive heard its closer than some people actually basing it off of a model X-D

In all id just say it was 'inspired by' rather than a wanted replica, but I was thinking maybe I should have a redo and actually try to make a real one now? :-$ Whatcha think? :-P

I read those too!

Personally, I really like this Mark, I think you should keep it like this. But that's just me, do what you want!

:-$ Thanks! Frankly it's like me absolute favourite of all time. I like it so much X-D I cant bare to take it apart, which sucks frankly as it uses like all the elements I used to use in Moc'ing.

I cant bare it! *sing*

What should I do? How can people bare to take their fav creations apart? :'-(

But um.. way off topic.

Thanks for your comments, I really do appreciate :-$

You should be proud, it's beautiful! *wub*

I've had to take my MOCs apart too, I took apart my Tumbler and that put a dent in my heart :'-(

I would say keep it alive until you have an idea way better then the pelican wannabe.

You're welcome! :-D

I'm thinking this may stay togeather for a very long time, i'm thinking maybe I could create some sort of scene to use it in, along with some other vehicle, but now that I have this idea cooking in my head I dont want to give it away too much.. >:-)
