Can DLC Characters Be Used In Minifigure Customizer

I was wondering if buying DLC packs for the LEGO video games also unlocks new parts in the character customizer?

They do not.

Unfortunately the minifig customizers are a bit limited in several regards. There are combinations I've tried to made to no avail.

I've also noticed that you can't use parts from people with short legs; I think they should make it an option to give your character short legs. But they have made progress since LEGO Star Wars II, I will admit.

That's one of my biggest complaints. It has prevented me from making some hilarious custom characters.
