ED-208 and I headed out to one of the Biomass pump monitoring stations, it was nice to be back with him. Work had been keeping me busy and with all the concerns I've had with the lab mission I've not seen him much. I left the still unnamed robo-dog behind, which ED-208 surprisingly seemed to prefer. He said that something seemed wrong with the robo-dog. I thought maybe he was jealous, though his AI doesn't support that ability, but he said that in reviewing the robo-dog's backup he noticed that it was running an export only version of Octansoft and had numerous encrypted sections. I assured him that I would look into it when we got back and he said he would make sure I was safe.

Luckily there was a field service vehicle available for the trip out to the station, I prefer the quiet time of the drive as it gives me a chance to reflect. Taking a shuttle out is faster, but there is too much activity and noise to really concentrate. Despite being a very utilitarian vehicle it suited its purpose and got me where I needed to go.

The station was operating at proper efficiency and all of the filters still had plenty of service life left. I noticed that the pumping levels were decreasing so I believe we'll only get 6 months out of this particular field before having to move on. The maintenance robots have been doing a fantastic job of keeping the site clean, I wish there was a way to reward them. Hard to believe some other corporations have humans still do the menial task.

I was happy to see that Dr. Long seems back in good health and has been helping aliens throughout the galaxy. I'm sure that the aliens appreciate having such an efficient and intelligent person working with them. Hopefully before too long our paths cross again!
