Addok-Zo helps looking for something drinkable within the cell.  "You don't look too good... how long have you been here?"  He then grips onto the bars of the cell, testing to see how sturdy they are.

"For a man who 'takes no prisoners' this bandit is really developing a nasty habit of generosity." The cleric turns back to the prisoner. "We'll see if we can scrounge up something to slake that thirst." Boris hefts the over-sized femur lying on the ground inspecting whether it could be used as a makeshift club before checking outside the cell gates to see if any guards were around.

Grumbling at the scent of farm animal excrement upon the air, the completely cartilagenous creature simply forces her way between the bars of the cell, her boneless body unhindered by the narrowness of the opening.

Only "liquid" Addok finds inside the cell is some water on the floor and it seems not to be drinkable, even if it would be put into a bucket or similar.

The man answers Addok with a shuddering voice while Addok checks the bars, just to find out their a very strong and sturdy.

"Ii d-on't know, don-t r-emember... t-his darkness...uh."

Boris picks up the tallest bone on the floor and finds:

"Not so ancient bone" Can be used as a club (wp 2) or something else, as leverage maybe.

He also doesn´t see anyone at the moment but hears voices that are getting closer.

Zanna tries to fit through the bars but how hard she tries and bends her boneless body she can´t fit through the small gaps in the bars, this technique would only work if she had some "minimizing dust".

As Zanna makes an effort trying to get out, the heroes can here that a door further away is opened and they can hear that several persons enter the room close to their cell. Listening carefuly they can hear that someone stays in the room and some people start walking towards them.

Three of the bandits walk down the stairs, one bandit with a crossbow remains in the stairs while the two others walk over to the cell. They could see that one of them was the intimidating man from before and the other is a bulky looking shirtless man.

The intimidating man, laughs and then talks to Zanna but seems to be looking at everybody,

"What ever you do, you won´t be coming trough those bars "missy"! It is made out of steel alloyed with adamantite, much much stronger than anything else know."

"Naäam, As is that poor bastards chains made of also. He will be chewing his hands of before those break. Just one of my many fine inventions. Hahhhaha."

"Yes, but as much as it would please me to leave you here to rot... so called heroes! There is a small problem, you see. The gold transport you were protecting, it was full of stones... also the other transport that that came after you had chests filled with stones. I am patient man but I don´t like to be tested!"

"What is this noncense, where is the gold?"

[Waterbrick Down]

"'Where one's wealth is, there also goes his spirit' Book of Matthias stanza six line twenty one." Boris pauses a moment to reflect on the bandit's news. "What makes you think we were transporting gold? Perhaps you simply mistimed your robbery."

"And is all this really necessary?" The cleric gestures around him. "For a man who doesn't take prisoners, you sure spend a lot investing in incarceration development."

[Yzalirk]

Addok-Zo laughs, a deep bellowing sort of laugh, as he realizes Boris is very right.  He thinks to himself, what a waste or gold to invest on a jail cell if you rarely take prisoners.  "They are very valuable stones..." he sarcastically remarks.

[Mencot]

"Don´t try to be a smarta'rse, "collars"? I know what you were transporting and I know that you aren´t Tweed men..." He turns his head to the chained man, "Right, Mr Blaine?"

The chained man doesn´t say anything, the bandit turns back to the heroes.

"This old place, is nothing more than a temporary hideout... those bars they are more of an experiment for something bigger that the good doctor here has been working on." He motions to the man with the long black hair. "But enough of that. And back to "your mission" and why you are here. Tweed is a man that has been making some big investment trying to capture me and sending "Heroes of Heroica" after me is showing that he is getting desperate."

"It is a small set back that we couldn´t fool that old man of more gold but the gold and robbing was always just a decoy... as we are leaving this place for another and we are going to leave you to rot here, I can tell you what the master plan was. Adamantite was always the real deal and we have been mining it here, right under your feet and noses for the couple of months and shipping it out. Destroying Tweed,  and also crippling the Hinckwell´s business in the progress..."

Another bandit walks into the room and walks over to the intimidating man and whipsers something into his ear.

"Excuse me chief, but brother is awaiting you in your office and he said that it was urgent."

 

"He is here, now. Okay." "I am sorry heroes, as I would want to stay and chat... I will have to leave you now, I have some business to attend." He starts to walk away but turns

"And as the last nail in your employers coffin and to gather the last of his gold, I am gonna extortion him with his dear sweet little daughter...heheh, byebye, have a nice, last time in your valuable prison." He looks at Addok and laughs and walks away up the stairs.

The wounded man twitches in his chaines as the man had mentioned Lady Samantha but he doesn´t say anything because of being too weak but rage could be seen in his eyes.

Boris waits for the bandit to leave. "Ain't it always a joy when the go on and on like that." The cleric turns back to the prisoner. "You're Blaine, eh? Samantha's been worried sick about you. Don't worry we'll get you out of here." Boris surveyed the hinges on the door, looking to see whether or not it could be pried open with the club.

"Boris, think you can use that club to knock that torch down?  If we get it, we might be able to melt the chains off him... or find some other uses for the fire."  Addok-Zo suggests before moving towards the skeleton seeing if the the bones could be of any use.

Addok gets near the half decayed corpse, the smell of it is terrible. He doesn´t find any of the limbs or bones useful because they are still too "fresh", so to say. But he can see that it was a he and he is wearing black and yellow guardsclothes. The corpse looks like he was tortured before death.

As the three men leave up the stairs, Boris can hear that there is some talking a bit further away before a door is opened and shut. The low talking and laughing continues.

The vampire checks the hinges on the door and can see that they are also made of the alloyed steel but he can make out that with the right force and leverage the door should pop out.

Boris whispers to Addok, "With a bit of leverage, I think this door can be popped open, we're taking him with us though." Boris inspects Blaine's chains and sees if he could manage to sharpen his remaining bone with his grating stone in order to make a crude lock pick.

"If you can't get him out, we'll have to come back for him.  Surely one of the guards has they key."

Boris is not successful in picking the lock. And the chains are too strong to be broken.

Will the heroes try to pop the door open?

Somewhat impressed with Boris' ingenuity, he lets out a groan to the failure.  "We might as well yank the door out.  I'm sure we all can do it if we combine our strength."  Addok-Zo grips the bars and begins pulling it. 

[Waterbrick Down]

"Looks like we don't have much of a choice apart from rotting in here." Boris turns back to Blaine, "We'll be back for you." With that, the cleric ensures that there are no guards in the hallway before attempting to quietly pop the door loose from its hinges with the makeshift bone crowbar.

[Mencot]

Blaine nods.

"Be ca-reful... th-ere is a gu-ard post... j-ust up th-ose st.. airs... uh."

Boris and Addok-zo does a joint effort in removing the door. The long bone breaks under the pressure but they are successful in removing the door.

As the door pops out Addok holds the door, where will he place it?

Addok-Zo places the door back into the frame so it looks somewhat normal.  He turns to Boris, "After you."

Boris cautiously grabs the torch off the wall and hands it to Addok, "Something for you to swing if it comes down to it, let's move." Boris quietly creeps up the stairs seeing if he can spot the guards post that Blaine had mentioned.

Addok carefuly places the door down andthere is a open way out. Good job.

And the two heroes slip out off the cell, leaving Blaine and Zanna behind for now.

Boris reaches out for the torch and gives it to Addok but it proves better as light then weapon but light in these dark dungeons can be useful.
The vampire goes slightly up the stairs, he can hear a couple of guards in the next room talking and laughing.

Boris tries to discern how many guards are in the next room by listening to the number of voices. The cleric whispers to Addok, "We're going to need to think of some way to either distract them or pick them off one at a time."

Boris listens to the voices coming from the other room, he can make out that it is maybe two guards there, hard to tell because he can´t really see them from his position.

But he continues to listen to the voices:

"This is so borin'! Why ar' we guardin' this dungeon, if we ar' gettin' out o' her' tonigh'?"

"Da boss orders. Those in th' cell are suppose to be really dangerous and boss don´t wanna have them mess with his plans."

"Don´t thin' they look too dangerous to me, like a bunch o' wusses! Still borin' to just sit here..."

"Boss's orders, good thin' we have th's booze, so the time goes a bit quick'r... right."

"Yea... and I wouldn't had mind'd a go with that blonde wildcat who is in th' torturechambers, hahaha."

"Hmm... but I think there isn't much left after when that mad Dastan defiler is finished with her."

The other shivers a bit.

"Th't man gives me da creeps... don't know why da boss keeps him around..."

The voices go more quiet, laughing and some clang of glasses and bottles can be heared from time to time.

"I think I saw a sword near where the torch was.  Whatever it was, it was made from some sort of metal."  Addok-Zo looks around for the supposed sword.

[Mencot]

Addok-Zo goes over to the corner of the room and searches and he finds a old shortsword under a badly severed body .

"Old shortsword, WP:3 "

Addok-Zo picks up the Old Short Sword and equips it for now.
