Professor Thaum Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) Spoiled cause WIP, the good pics are in the end of the topic, thanks Spoiler Here it is !! Coming into play for the Olympics, the Octan Magnetic Pulsar. ready for a test drive... with its test driver, again M. Fourfree. The Magnetic pulsar is VTOL capable... ... do not use road but is able to polarize all its defined path ans use it as a sliding track without friction... ...and nearly fly almost 3 m above the ground in magnetic sutentation... ... maneuverability is pretty good and the speed really amazing. Last advice from the test driver : do not forget your G-suit !! C&C welcome   Edited October 17, 2016 by Professor Thaum Quote
Zaael Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Cool build Prof!! I really like the rotating wheels! Very scifi looking race car!! You might wanna try to zoom out a little when taking the pictures so the whole model is on them. Quote
Professor Thaum Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 I'm a very bad photographer, and my phone is not a great camera... and above all, I don't have a cool place to take the pics, if I zoom out, you will see all the model and some bonus in addition (part of the house, broken tiles of the terrace, ready to paint shutter on trestle, my son playing turnball etc etc) Quote
rodiziorobs Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) I like how you've done the magnetic paddles/wheels(?), reminds me a little of Back to the Future. The color works well everywhere, too. I can't tell the exact dimensions of it from front to back, but I worry it's a bit oversized: Make a land vehicle racer. It could have wheels or be a speeder. It should fit inside a 10x20 stud area and have room for at least one minifigure Edited September 1, 2016 by rodiziorobs Quote
Professor Thaum Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) I can't tell the exact dimensions of it from front to back, but I worry it's a bit oversized: you're right, it must fit in 10 x 20... for instance it fits a 16 x 16... damned, I had to alter the paddles... the base hull is 6x16, but the magnetic paddles are 4x4 each... Professor Thaum Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 Small interlude, the magnetic pulsar is back to the workshop, the prof is adapting new magnetic paddles... pics this evening or tomorrow Quote
Professor Thaum Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) All is OK A new VTOL testing this time it fits in 8 x 16 (not really 8, it is between 8 and 9 studs wide) Edited September 1, 2016 by Professor Thaum Quote
craggy Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 nice build, looks very powerful, but also nice and swooshy. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Woah, that was a quick mod job! I like the new look! Quote
mccoyed Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Very cool. Reminds me of classic flying cars, the spinners from Blade Runner, and Speed Racer all at the same time. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I actually prefer the mod. This is a very nice entry! Very well shaped and smooth as a speeder aught-be! Great work! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
