Hello all.

This was my attempt at building a figure of Sauron from The Lord of the Rings in the vein of Saber-Scorpion. WIP

The arm connections that Saber-Scorpion used to build Sauron's arms are not possible in LDD. So, I ended up installing two of the recently-added ball joint rods (added in 4.3.9) on either side and continued building the arms from there. The 1x4 Hinge Plates were also used here to build the Dark Lord's knees, although posing them in LDD may be bit of a pain since one has to click on said joint to get to the correct connection and bend it. Otherwise, Sauron is posable; he also comes with the signature mace weapon he used at the beginning of The Fellowship of the Ring, and has the Ring placed on his "left hand."

The third photo is a mockup of Sauron fighting a "clay" King Elendil. I was really trying to build this guy as close to big-fig scale as I could without making him impossibly big.

Comments/suggestions welcome.

So, I updated the Sauron bigfig MOC that was posted a while back. Re-did his chest armor, head/helmet and feet. Also have a photo of Sauron with a hand made of a 1x1 Plate with Holder, to demonstrate how one can give him open and closed hands, as well as a minifg version of the Dark Lord with a toned-down mace weapon. May update both again later with the addition of capes. As for the bigfig Sauron, any comments or suggestions on how a cape could work on him would be much appreciated.
