[TC10] F18 Carrier

Hi everyone!

I wanted to entry to the [TC10] contest with a pneumatic truck , but it was not unike in any way. So i want to build a carrier for F18 planes . It will not be a specific model just a combination between a few real models.

No progress for now because i need the pieces from the truck.

Great if you are entering the contest! Looking forward to see it.

But, as stated in the rules, you need to show some actual progress...pictures or ldd screenshot.

Otherwise, this topic may be seen as a idea reservation, which is against the rules.

I have made some progress with the runway and the lounching system, check it out :

Here the runway:

Here is the hook :

Here is the raiseble platform :

Here is the winch that pulls the hook :

The red conector has to be pushed down to release a gear that locks the winch.

Hi everyone!

So i am still working on the runway but it iis almost ready, it just needs some panols to cover it. Also i work at the hull , but that will require an order so i can't do much now.Anyway here is a video showing all the functions at the moment :

Looks cool but the raisable jet blast deflectors (if that is what they are on your model) are way to tall and skinny, they should be a lot wider.

I know that you choose to build not specific aircraft carrier ship and that is a good choice, because you have now more options for the looks of it .

With ship building is it the same as cars ore trucks that you must find the right proportions and scale.

What you have already show us, the proportion of the superstructure with wheelhouse is way of the deck with catapult.

You can make great shapes with liftarms for ships.

Here some example how i have build my ships with liftarms.

I still need to add some panols there. And in the end that raiseble platform will also act as that wing that protects the people in the back of the runway from jet's rear heat

Nope, you can better make first all the working functions, than the hull and at last the wheelhouse.

The wheelhouse on the two technic ships are build from liftarms and only use bricks for making the details.

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the lack of updates, but i have been waiting for an order for some gray parts and it finaley arrived. I almost finished the hull and i also finished the whole runway and i want to redesign the plane because it is quite ugly.
