Cris13 Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) It's a simple car with 4x4 wheel drive and two speed gearbox. The car is equipped with two differential but hasn't suspension, so I had to take a commuter on the front system, so you can practice steep terrain. The gearbox is very small, but is manual, although it is very easy to change. It is also equipped with a lighting system connected to the wheels, and of a reinforcement under the car in order to protect the gears, all controlled by a SBrick. I'm sorry for the bad writing because I'm Italian. Commented, I hope you enjoy! The transmission is structured as follows: the blue axis is the input and the green axis is the output. The central axis and is movable. In the first picture is inserted the first gear with a ratio of 0.3:1 (very powerful but not very fast), while in the second picture is inserted the second gear with a ratio of 1:1 (very fast but with very little power). This guide should help you. Quote
TheMindGarage Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Upload them to an image-hosting site and embed them. Sounds cool. Lack of suspension is a little disappointing though. How does the gearbox work - I'm guessing a transmission driving ring. Quote
Cris13 Posted August 29, 2016 Author Posted August 29, 2016 I updated the page by adding pictures. As you see the vehicle? Quote
TheMindGarage Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Wow - that looks great with the panelling! Not a fan of linear, unsynchronised gearboxes, but I guess they're fine for manual shifting. Quote
Cris13 Posted August 29, 2016 Author Posted August 29, 2016 I have adopted this system because since the power was too much I would have risked ruining some gear Quote
KamalMYafi Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 The pictures has come! Cool shape! But it doesn't have any suspension. Any chance for video(s)? Quote
Cris13 Posted August 29, 2016 Author Posted August 29, 2016 Right now I'm working on and I'm looking for suitable places to test the car but should arrive shortly. Quote
