Miro78 Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 (edited) The other day I built a coffee stand I named "Cup o' Java". I didn't think it would get so much attention, and to my surprise it was picked up by The Brothers Brick and on Reddit today. It's a fairly straight forward build, and if anyone is interested in building one, you can download the LDD download link below: LDD file: https://drive.google...aXJvZzQxLWFsRHM Rebrickable page: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-7416/Miro/coffee-mug-stand/ The LDD is of the mug shaped stand only with coffee machine and steam on top. Feel free to swap out colors as you see fit. I used what I had on hand. Miro Cup o' Java by Miro Dudas, on Flickr Edited March 24, 2017 by Miro78 Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Gorgeous MoC! I love how you create the steam! The shaping on the coffee mug kiosk is top notch, and the paving is great! I'm curious, how'd you do the paving? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
sunhuntin Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 (edited) NIce! Would look great next to the Friends hot dog stand, and I love the baby carriage, too. Actually looks nicer than the one from the Fun in the Park. Edited August 25, 2016 by sunhuntin Quote
Mestari Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Great! Looks smooth, the shape is well done, the pavement looks like it belongs there too. Quote
Palixa And The Bricks Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 It's a cute idea. I like how you build the cup with the steam on top. And this would have been a perfect entry for Kristel's contest last year Quote
Wookiee Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Nice build . It shows you don't need a million pieces and a heap of snot work to be innovative , you just need a good idea. Quote
BrickCurve Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Great job! I really like the steam as well as the pavement. Quote
FiliusRucilo Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 This is a really great MOC! Simple Setup, clear lines, excellent colors. With a little bigger Baseplate (32x32) it will perfectly fit in every modular town. Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Excellent job! Wish we had one of these outside our work place. It would be very popular. Quote
kibosh Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Bravo! This is simple, and brilliant. It's simply brilliant! And lovely to look at. I fully intend to build one for my city layout. Thank you for sharing your work! Quote
Darkdragon Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Excellent work, it's perfect. This would look great in a modular city setup. Quote
ArchitectureFan Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Excellent creation - must have been fun to build it! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 The shape is quite clever and the steam out of the top is brilliant. Although the tilework is really easy. You just use 2x2 and 1x1 round tiles and intermix them. It does give an interesting effect not usually seen in city scapes. Keep up the good work. Quote
Andy D Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 This is quite excellent! I may have to build one. Thanks, Andy D Quote
BrickJagger Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Great job! Interesting technique for the steam. Quote
Withacee Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 (edited) I love it. It's truly inspirational. This can be used in any city, slightly modified if need be. Keep clicking those bricks together. Edited August 26, 2016 by Withacee Quote

Bookworm Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 This is really cool! I love your use of the curved bricks for the cup's handle and steam rising from the top – what an innovative idea. The kiosk would fit perfectly into any Lego city. Quote
