[MOC] New Orleans Pirate Street

Disneyland's New Orleans Square inspired me to create a pirate themed street somewhere in the French Quarter. Here are my officer's versus deckhand pubs, the Crystal Palace Captain's Club and the South Seas Scallywag. The Crystal Palace facade is similar to the Cristal d'Orleans. I tried to make the Scallywag more rustic. More pictures posted on my flickr page.

I left the backs open for access to the interiors (and because the wood tiles used for the exterior of the Scallywag add up quickly).

The interiors are absolutely amazing! And details like the chandeliers really add to the ambience. Very lush and lovely arranged. The minifigs look amazing too.

Thanks for the comments. I don't think it's a legal build on the chandelier in the Crystal Palace but I like my solution of using the whole assembly for the set of two keys as the connection to the roof. The thin bit of plastic between the keys is threaded through the chain and the thicker plastic is threaded to the two now detached keys which are held in place by modified 1x1 plates attached to the roof (not a wasted piece of lego).

I like the atmosphere of your street, renforced by the fact that the two buidings are close from each other.

Nice details outside and lot of the inside, very well done!

Thanks, the welding torches have nice curves. The stained glass is from the latest modular building the Brick Bank.

Fantastic build and clever use of existing printed bricks.

Fun, but too much time spent on bricklink :) searching for the right tiles. All of the printed tiles and stickers are official.

Thanks, I was trying to achieve the effect that you get being in Disneyland's New Orleans Square, home of Pirates of the Caribbean, mixed with some of the buildings around Adventureland.

Thanks! I really like the open backs to display what is going on inside on street scenes. Modulars are fantastic but open back builds are easier to manipulate what is going on inside the builds.

Thanks, it takes a lot of tiles but I really like the affect too.
