I have been working on a Moc up world on my table for a while now and this is the beginning of it

Interesting! Is the world going to take up the entire table? Will the other smaller shelf shelf be an icy, mountainous area?

I do recommend you have a style for your worlds that blend and go well with one another, instead of violent color shifts, like grassy plains to desert, just like that, from tan base plate to green base plate with nothing between them.

I also suggest checking out landscaping techniques and what pieces to have for them. And general large MOC worlds and what bricks are good to stock up on and look for.

Thank you for the feedback, yes the layout is going to take up the entire table including the smaller shelf for the arctic themes. I was hoping to get ninjago in somewhere as i own the temple of airjitzu but i cant find a space for that yet, I may put it where the western town is as im not sure if im 100% happy with it

I will have to look into doing some landscaping as you said, the only problem is.... I've run out of base plates! all i have left are road plates :P

I am hoping to draw up some plans if i get them finished ill send over a picture

You could try ordering a bunch of them online.

If you can even order online, I do recommend buying a lot of pieces. After all, that's how MOCs are made, people buy pieces they know they'll need.

Once I get a bit more money I will have to order some, What are the best sort of pieces to use?

I honestly haven't made large MOCs, so I wouldn't know. That's why I recommend you check out topics about that kind of stuff.

Looks great so far, I love the mist-mash of themes you have in there, it really makes it feel more authentic. Like gamejutzu said I recommend you change around the terrain/buildings a little bit so they flow into each other. For example, I would move the water based stuff away from the snow-based stuff.

Side note: I really like how more and more people are creating their own "worlds", hopefully I'll have the room to be able to do that one day.

Thank you for the feedback I am making some changes, and hopefully if all goes to plan i will have my troll city to go in to the world. I was thinking of getting jestros volcano lair as I love the look of that set just trying to think of somwhere to put it

I would also like to do something like this one day. But I don't have a table or platform specifically for that. And, I don't have the pieces either. But it is something I myself want to do sometime. I'd either do a high-tech world/city, or a non-medieval fantasy world.

Even if it takes months, try working on things one world at a time until you're satisfied with your ability. Or even one landmark in an area at a time.

I would recommend the Volcano Lair, It's a great set. There aren't really any more lava-related sets on the shelves right now to put around the Lair but maybe you can pick up Lava Falls (Ninjago set) for a low price on Ebay.

I would put the lava area as far away from the snow area as possible, perhaps near the desert.

Wait are you thinking of putting a bunch of official sets in your world? Oh...

Well, you do still need to do a bunch of landscaping anyway, and figure out neat way to link each world.
