Pego Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Hello there! This is a truck that I have built. It is trying to resemble a MAZ-535 like this one: Functions 8x8 drive from 2 XLs (gear ratio 1:8.337) Full independent suspension Steering on 2 front axles by M motor 2 rechargable batteries and 2 SBricks MAZ 535 by Pego's Legos, on Flickr MAZ 535 by Pego's Legos, on Flickr MAZ 535 by Pego's Legos, on Flickr MAZ 535 by Pego's Legos, on Flickr MAZ 535 by Pego's Legos, on Flickr Quote
Imanol BB Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 It is a really amazing truck, the suspension system is very clever, both functions and aesthetics are really great, it also seems to have a very good off-roading capability, nice work. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Nice use of the suspension arms indeed! Cool... Quote
MaxSupercars Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 (edited) Really interesting combination of suspension and drive system. Good work. :) I want to see it with Xerion tires... ;) Max Edited July 18, 2016 by MaxSupercars Quote
Konsta90 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 claas tires won't fit for sure. Current tires are less then 94 mm and they have almost no space between so 107 mm tires wont fit Quote
Pego Posted July 19, 2016 Author Posted July 19, 2016 Thanks guys! Yes the suspension system worked quite well, it's simple and robust. And no the xerion tires wouldn't fit, they're about 25 mm too big Quote
Limga Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Nice truck! I like your solutions:) Do you mind making LDD? Quote
KikoTube Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Hey. I realy like your build. But i just saw These tires. From where do you have them? KikoTube Quote
Pego Posted August 13, 2016 Author Posted August 13, 2016 Nice truck! I like your solutions:) Do you mind making LDD? Yes I'll make an LDD file Hey. I realy like your build. But i just saw These tires. From where do you have them? KikoTube From various sets, the tires are the 81.6 mm ones, and rims are unimog tires rim. The tires are stretched on, and they are now unusable on the original rims Quote
Pego Posted February 25, 2017 Author Posted February 25, 2017 We finally got some nice snow here in Finland, so here is some footage from that: I also made the tires wider and flatter by pulling the tire out to the edge of the rim, making it perform much better. Quote
JJ2 Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Cool suspension design using only 1 U-J per wheel, it seems to work well. I did the same trick to my tires and I really like the grip of them, they work so much better then the 9398 ones. Quote
Pego Posted March 2, 2017 Author Posted March 2, 2017 (edited) @JJ2 Yeah I had to make the suspension like that for it to fit. I like these tires too, but too bad that they become unusable normally. Edited March 2, 2017 by Pego a word Quote
MrSean7310 Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 Awesome! That's by far the coolest (and most capable) LEGO RC vehicle I've seen. Great job! Quote
