So just to complete the sentence in the title, my name is Lorenzo - I'm Italian but a bit of an EU-traveller, currently in Berlin. My story as follows: around October last year, I was back at my parents' house. I wanted to fit in the shelf the books I had accumulated (I'm a teacher) but there was no room left, so I decided to reorganise the whole thing. By doing so I found [unfortunately only a very small part of] the Lego I used to play with as a kid --> went totally crazy, put my hands on a couple of old sets I'd always wanted and.. well I wanted to put them together with a bridge but didn't know how to do it, so I googled and found out about the community here ^^ I'm a castle builder, so I firstly joined ClassicCastle last January while building my very first Moc. The guys on CC are very nice, got me onto Flickr and gave me some suggestions to improve my builds so that I built my 2nd and 3rd Mocs. Last March I moved to Berlin, leaving my collection at my parents Though, thanks to BL, the PaB wall in the local store and especially my Flickr feed, I was pushed to keep collecting and ended up putting together a landscape Moc for the recent Summer Joust. One of the guys there suggested to join here (thanks again!) and as soon as I saw that Petraea Univesity project, I joined immediately Conclusion --> I haven't got all of my bricks with me but hey, just need to try out that Petraea Uni! Nice to see so much going on here and so many active members with buildings of all kind! I hope I'll be able to give some contributions soon enough [after 'borrowing' some techniques from you guys.. ] I'll link my Flickr as soon as I can set my signature. Quote

Nice fig you have there! Take your time. Don't worry. It's taking some time to read and understand the Guilds. To help you I can say GoH is a community of castle lovers and Mocers. There, every player is represented by a minifig, his sigfig. By the way, you noticed mine, thank you. And each player has to sign in one and only one guild on the 4 which are : 1) Midgardia, the northern guild, mainly frost castles and dwarves business on it. Mainly Viking style. 2) Avalonia, the western guild, temperate with great forests, mainly Arthurian style. 3) Kaliphlin, the southern guild, mainly desertic land with Middle East style. 4) Nocturnus, the eastern guild, mainly swampy and dark, more oriented towards dark fantasy builds. I hope that helps, but there is so much to tell. Try to read the introduction and presentation of every guild before making your decision. If you want, you can ask for help in the "new members" thread of GoH, we are ready and happy to answer to you ! Quote
