Help Me Try To Convince LEGO To Reboot The Original Agents Theme

Two days ago me and Youtuber Bricks4me decided it was be an awesome idea to try to convince LEGO to reboot ''Agents" 2008 theme. So we took it upon ourselves to create a hastag #bringbackagentstheme. Right now we have about fifty things hashtagged with this hastag . Because of this we have attracted some attention and Youtuber Brick Queen tweeted out our hastag. LEGO has also responded to my comment saying

@BAnotherbr We understand. Unfortunately it has been retired but we never know what the future holds. We'll have to wait and see.

So I was wondering if you guys could post lego agents images on instagram and twitter using hastag #bringbackagentstheme

I believe we can make original agents return

I don't think it's going to work, but what the hell, I loved Agents. Any spy-related thing would do... Ultra Agents was mostly good, but it wasn't at all the original Agents. Except the truck--that was a clear homage. And the Blade Runner car and ship, those were FABULOUS. Everything else, though, was pretty meh in my opinion, and I think LEGO ought to give it another go.

im not sure if it will work but within two days we got the attention of lego and brickqueen and lot of other people, i agree ultra agents was good but i dont think anything could out do the original agents line.

Just so you guys know we have a bunch of other youtubers behind it such as Brickbybrick, Delta bricks, Aqua Blaze, Funny Bricks, Stormtrooper 54, the brick maniac, brick worlds 23,Zebby Bricks, and lot more so it could be successful

Let me rephrase what im trying to say ultra agents could never compare be as good as agents.

This is very unlikely to happen

As far as I know this has only happened with Ninjago.

It's surprising that TLG already responded to your action! TLG has their own agenda, a bunch of AFOLs isn't going to change anything. That's just how it is (note that the situation here is completely different from ninjago back in 2013).

I advice you to put your efforts in a Lego Ideas project instead, since that's the place for crowdfunded sets. If nothing can top the original Agents theme for you, maybe you should be satisfied with collecting the sets second-hand and making awesome tribute MOCs?

There's a reason the original agents theme isn't continuing anymore and that's because it didn't sell well, if it did, it would have continued all these years just like Ninjago or even just a couple of years like Chima. You won't be able to bring it back, they will just reboot it every 5 years (something like that), sorry, you'll just have to wait a couple of years to see what lego has in store (pun unintended).

Spies are a common Action theme. I can tell you are all whippersnappers because the true most awesome Spy theme was Alpha Team!

Hmmm. The natural progression would be something like Incredible Agents?

Agents is too far gone for Lego's core audience (Children) to remember it, but you could petition them to create a similar theme. How many people are in this "group" that you refer to? You're going to need at least a couple thousand to really make noise.

Not sure how I feel about a project like this. The ridiculousness of the "Bring Back Bionicle" movement is still fresh in my mind (but Bionicle did come back though...).

However I also understand the appeal of Agents and spy sets as a Lego theme. The recent run of Ultra Agents and the upcoming Mission Impossible Dimensions Pack gives me hope Lego knows that.

But also what Peppermint_M said; the originals where the Alpha Team! :) Ogel was a classic Lego villain to (try to spell his name backwards...)

I love the Agents theme so much (My av is a gigantor extension of Dr. Inferno's volcano lair!). I loved Alpha Team (Well, the first and second wave. Didn't care for Alpha Team on Ice). I'm pretty sweet on Ultra Agents, too. But I'm also excited to see what new secret agent/commando team themes LEGO develops in the future. While I would enjoy the further adventures of Chase and Co, I'm not holding my breath. But that's okay! I have something like 120 Agents? So they can all do battle against Ogel, Dr. Inferno, and Anti-Matter while we're waiting to see what the next group turns out to be.

It is odd, the paradigm shifted when Ninjago ended up being such a big hit. The patterns used to in a similar way to the cycles in Town/City. Adventure, Spies, Underwater, Underground... Between them, the odd randomer like Time Cruisers or World Racers. Now, the three active themes in Action are all different to that original pattern, but I am sure something will pop up soon. With City having Divers, it might be about time for another adventure...

But, spies is always fun.

I had one of the Alpha Team sets way back when, and I think the minifigures/characters were way cooler than the Agents or Ultra Agents.

Ogel just seems like a cool guy. Dr. Inferno was weird, and Antimatter was expensive.

Ogel seems like he has some deep traumatic backstory, but the Agents and Ultra Agents villains were just like "I'm a dude who is made of fire."

That's just my opinion. I think an updated Alpha Team would be cooler than Agents.

Ogel was the great grandson of Vladek from Knights Kingdom, and he just wanted to mind-control everyone.

Antimatter was a rogue former Ultra Agent who turned people into super-powered villainous opposites of their normal selves?

And as far as I can tell, Dr. Inferno was pretty much Cobra Commander without a mask.

So, Dr. Inferno wins there, in my opinion.
