dugmence Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) Here is my latest creation prepared for Brickfete 2016 in Toronto. Inspiration came from old pictures of Belgrade, Serbia. I have spent around 50 hours of building time during two weeks. Parts count: around 15,000 DSCN5800 by Dushko D, on Flickr DSCN5801 by Dushko D, on Flickr DSCN5804 by Dushko D, on Flickr DSCN5805 by Dushko D, on Flickr DSCN5809 by Dushko D, on Flickr Edited July 13, 2016 by dugmence Quote
Mr Greeble Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Very nice city block! My favorite part is the cobbled road. Quote
LegoSjaak Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I like the area where the statue is standing on the most.. this historic figure is probably watching for the fishermen at sea! Quote
Railfan9 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Oh I really love this there is so much detail to take in! Quote
LegoManTroy Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I really like the way you implemented the rails in the streets to go along with a trolley being pulled by a horse. Great job! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 The moving water effect looks incredible! The whole scene is outstanding! Quote
Kristel Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 This is really nice, with loads of great details! My favourite are the chequer tablecloths, the seating around the tree and the planter boxes in the steps down to the water. Quote
dugmence Posted July 13, 2016 Author Posted July 13, 2016 thank you all. I forgot to mention, this MOC is modular, 9 baspeplates connected with technic pins. Houses are standing on jumpers. Quote
BrickCurve Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Looks great! Adding some vines and extra texturing to the houses would really improve on how realistic they look, I think. Quote
Severus A Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Very nice diorama. It has the atmosphere that some places in Beograd still have today :) The rivershore in the Diorama is Sava or Danube? Quote
dugmence Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Very nice diorama. It has the atmosphere that some places in Beograd still have today :) The rivershore in the Diorama is Sava or Danube? It is more Sava than Danube rivershore. However, "TheWinner" ("pobednik" in original) statue looks over the confluence of these two rivers. Quote
*thomas* Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 So much to look at, so many details. A fantastic moc! Quote
