EpsilonEta Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Location: C09 Tags: In an apartment of the Kobayashi tower on the 25th of Junali... Bad news -Kawashita's Andromeda branch CEO, Raven, is dead. What? -A warp reactor overloaded, causing an explosion on engine deck where Raven where... No!! ...unforfZtztinaFftZz imfztecftZzd zZe dWiwzZyzften... Noohoo... She's been an agent and military for almost 30 years. She cant have ended in a stupid accident like this. She can't... Why the block did she have to be a CEO. She could have... Dad? What is it? Is mom not coming home? Oh Louise... He get down on his knees and hug her There is no good way to get bad news... So this is the rest of the apartment seen in Special delivery. As usual, the TV image is photoshoped. Here is the room without that effect The screen/phone thrown at the TV on the other hand is not photoshoped (except from the motion blur and broken screen image) Here is how I did it with practical effects (Lego is very good at fastening loose objects. Almost all of my builds can be turned upside down without dropping parts) And a little thought on how people watch TV in the future. Vichtor is of course watching “on demand” or internet news on his screen (phone) and synchronise the picture with the larger non-tuch screen (TV). Quote
LordDan Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 The apartment look very good! Nice continuation of the story, and very clever idea to turn the build sideways to get a different effect. I might try that and see how it works for a dynamic action or fighting scene! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) That shot with his hand on the wall as their daughter walks in... so sad. Excellent build. It's elegant and well constructed, simple and smooth. It's everything it needs to be. It feels real, and your world-building talents have not gone unnoticed in regards to the in-world explanation, and in-build construction of the technological devices they use. The photography and photo-shopping are wonderful, as always! Such a tragic build! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited July 11, 2016 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Mr Greeble Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Sad. I really like how you made the shot of him throwing the phone. Quote
Lady K Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Such a sad story.......you represented it very well in your build. The apartment has a simple elegance to it, you can feel the mining emotions. Excellent shot with the phone hitting the tv. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I love the perfect simplicity of the apartment, and your stories continue to be some of the most engaging in AG. Quote
mccoyed Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Wow. I didn't even know Raven had a family. The feels. Quote
EpsilonEta Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 They where first seen in Raven's day off and then they arrived in Andromeda after Challenge4. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Challenge 4 was the alien invasion one? The "your neighborhood" one. Challenge 2 was Alien Invasion. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I am so way out of the dang loop. That was me earlier in the summer. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Mesabi Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 So, are they mad that Raven faked her death in didn't tell them? That'd be a deal breaker for me Quote
EpsilonEta Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 They haven't been told yet but they (at least he) will be pretty angry when they find out But he's also quite used to her keaping shocking secrets so he will most likely get over it. Quote
