piterx Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) Hi there! I've been using this system for a while in some of my cars but i never thought about how good it would be on a bike. So here's my test before i start messing with an actual bike. It works pretty well, i had to cheat a little bit cutting a 3L into 3 bits of half stud to strenghten the rubber parts in the clutch. It will basically allow the bike run free from the motor, wich means that it won't fall down as soon as you release the power button. HOPEFULLY :D hope you'll like it! SevenStuds Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 So if I understand right, each rubber connector is attached to the bike wheel on one side and the other (reinforced) half can deform outwards to be "caught" by the gear-driven wheel? How much friction is there between the rubber and the driven wheel when it's in free spin? Quote
piterx Posted July 6, 2016 Author Posted July 6, 2016 yeah you got it right, there's no friction if you dont mount it too tight... just leave about 1mm between the rim and the wheel so the rubber parts don't touch the rim. Quote
