Chr.Maglekaer Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 (edited) This train is a bit different, It was a BanBao model that I have made in to LEGO. The Banbao version is based on a copy of LEGO's IR train base from 2006. http://www.bricklink...?P=55455c01#T=C Can you see the irony?? Anyway... So here is my version, I used the standart train wagon base instead, I added Diesel engine and a modified undercarriage from the Maersk Container Train. Here are some photos and building instructions of the real deal: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=498322 Edited June 29, 2016 by Chr.Maglekaer Quote
Rail Co Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 That looks really good! I actually really like the idea of taking a cheap knock off and making it so much better. Good Work! -RailCo Quote

The person what has gallery I liked too, has the same idea with the HXD2. So in way, yes that train was the inspiration for BanBao and me ^_^ But source for power does they use? Diesel or electricity? Edited June 29, 2016 by Chr.Maglekaer Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 China would be a unique country to railfan; diesels, electrics, and maglevs in the cities; steam in the mining towns! Quote

So in way, yes that train was the inspiration for BanBao and me ^_^ But source for power does they use? Diesel or electricity? I found the Banbao you said, it's really design according to HXD2. HXD2 is electricity, and the model I made (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=115631&view=findpost&p=2352149) is HXN3, it's diesel. China would be a unique country to railfan; diesels, electrics, and maglevs in the cities; steam in the mining towns! In fact, All steam locomotive is retired now. Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Ah the last ones retired? Dang it! Still surprised a few lasted into the 21st century. Quote
Chr.Maglekaer Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 Here is a picture of my train, where it is partially separated. I used it in a contest from RailBricks. That's why the doors on the train carriage is in gray. https://flic.kr/p/q44fHH Quote
