Lego2016Lego Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 (edited) I need help on what my next MOC should be. I like building mini vehicles. I have a mini buggy I just need to buy a battery box for it and I can not build a good crawler because I got no flex axles. Edited June 27, 2016 by Lego2016Lego Quote

suffocation Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 An EB user recently posted a brilliant 42030-C model - a pick-up truck, I believe. I reckon you could take it a step further with the parts from the 42039, adding suspension on all four wheels and maybe a gearbox of some sort. Quote

offroadcreations Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 You could build the 42039 and then motorize it and modify it using your other parts. Quote
Lego2016Lego Posted June 27, 2016 Author Posted June 27, 2016 I like building mini MOCs but thanks for the ideas. Quote
__________________________ Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 I would like to see someone make a small derby car, something designed for crashing into other vehicles at high speeds without damage to the components themselves, and with certain "soft spots" that make different parts of the car come off. If the car is hit enough times, in the right places, another "soft spot" will be accessible, and if it is pressed hard enough, the drivetrain/steering falls apart. In a derby, a car is out of the race when it can't move- this would result from drivetrain "collapse". I am not quite sure how this would work, it would likely involve spring-loaded plates. Quote
syclone Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Racers had some "crashable" cars, remember having a lot of fun with those. They had levers that when a car crashed some parts popped out of it Quote

Vectormatic Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 You could build the 42039 and then motorize it and modify it using your other parts. Ive got a decently modded 42039 http://imgur.com/a/SUTJN Function wise it isnt any better, in fact the doors are manual now, but it looks a LOT more like an actual LMP1 car then the original Quote
