Any other (non Lego) Technic like cars with gearbox etc?

Are there any other non-Lego cars (or similar) which had working gearboxes, steering, suspension etc?

I am talking of fully (or minimal) assembled toys/hobby cars which resembles similar functions offered by Lego Technic.

I know many RC cars come with suspension, steering etc. but not aware of anything else with a proper working gearbox!

PS: Mods please remove to appropriate forum if necessary - I posted it here because I thought Technic lovers are more likely to be aware of the alternatives.

These are sold in kit form you need to build them yourself, much like LEGO

This official Meccano model (1929) came with gearbox ("Three-speed forward and Reverse Gear Box, Differential Gear, Ackermann Steering, Friction Clutch, Torque Rods, Internal-expanding Brakes, Foot Brake on Cardan Shaft, Radiator Fan, Semi-elliptic Laminated Springs, Disc Wheels, Dunlop Tyres, etc."). My father made a tow truck out of this. It's how he got me inspired for Technic

Yup, Technic is actually not a hardcore toy at all. But it looks nicer than most construction toys. Partly due to the color range it offers: Not too monochrome like Meccano but not too color vomit like K'Nex. And maybe the range of panels too (not mentioning the compatibility with studded Lego).
