paave Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 (edited) This is my first pneumatic MOC, and with no PF. It is based on GS-18.05 grader. I tried experimental placing of the cylinders to keep its look realistic. Features & Functions: Turnable control (moving down/up/left/right/incline) Blade control (moving aside/down/up/turning around) Dozer blade lifting/lowering Ripper lifting/lowering Frame turning Front wheels turning Front wheels incline Video: Some more pictures: Building Instruction: Edited June 22, 2016 by paave Quote
1974 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 (edited) Nice model How are the two long thin actuators attached? With a bunch of nasty stickers and some more colour vomit it could easily be an official TLG model - good work there Cheers, Ole Edited June 4, 2016 by 1974 Quote
WvG_853 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 (edited) Very nice. It would not surprise me if Lego would bring out such a model one of the next years. Do you intend to make instructions for this model? Edited June 4, 2016 by WvG_853 Quote
paave Posted June 4, 2016 Author Posted June 4, 2016 Thank you. Nice model How are the two long thin actuators attached? With a bunch of nasty stickers and some more colour vomit it could easily be an official TLG model - good work there Cheers, Ole If you mean cylinders – just with hoses. Very nice. It would not surprise me if Lego would bring out such a model one of the next years. Do you intend to make instructions for this model? There is instruction made, but it will be available later. jorgeopesi Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Awesome I like it very much, it is very difficult to do it well the blade of a grader congratulations . Quote
Brick_Sticker Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Very nicely done, you really captured all the features of a real grader. I love the way you mounted the vertical cylinders, simple and effective. Quote
WvG_853 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 There is instruction made, but it will be available later. Great ... Looking forward to it! Quote
1974 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I love the way you mounted the vertical cylinders, simple and effective. They're not "mounted" at all, just attached by the nozzles. Not a great way to do that, imho Quote
paave Posted June 4, 2016 Author Posted June 4, 2016 Thanks all. It is really not the best way to mount cylinders, but they sit there really well, better than it may seem. Quote
jono rocky Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 This is pretty darn good. May I suggest using the Lego Barb on the ends of the ripper claws. Looking forward to the instructions. Keep up the awesome work. Quote
agrof Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 I just love this grader. The well captured design, all the functions packed in this scale nominate for: the best grader MOC I have seen! Very creative and effective usage of the new pneumatic cylinders! Quote
