ACPin Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 One of the most effective and enduring military formations in ancient warfare was that of the Phalanx. The age of the Phalanx may be traced back to Sumeria in the 25th century BCE, through Egypt, and finally appearing in Greek literature through Homer in the 8th century BCE. The phalanx formation was a close-rank, dense grouping of warriors armed with long spears and interlocking shields. Even a reenactment of the phalanx in minifigs shows dramatically why it was such an effective battle tactic used by ancient armies. Lobster armor, helmets and shields by BrickWarriors. AC Quote
ACPin Posted June 5, 2016 Author Posted June 5, 2016 Some very neat figs! Excellent figs and a very impressive lineup Thanks for the comments and would likely use this in a bigger build in the future complete with the opposing armies. AC Quote
Stelario Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 MOC tag is an awful exaggeration. It's just a bunch of minifigs placed on the empty baseplate. It should be posted in My Castle Army topic. Quote
