8420...yellow or DBG shock absorber?

just bought a used set on ebay for 75 Euro with free shipping. it has the yellow shock absorber...i hear people say that most sets came with a DBG part but most of the sets i have seen for sale all came with yellow. of the four used sets for sale on Ebay all have the yellow shock. it seems to me that the DBG part is actually the rarer of the two...its my understanding that the first sets sold came with DBG and then change the colour to yellow.

that part was the old Dark Gray colour, 8420 has DBG.

Mine has a yellow shock.

It says DBG on bricklink for those sets.

Bricklink also says that one of the racers got 2 such shock absorbers ... I bought such racer from eBay, then checked TLG< and the set does come with ONE, not 2 as listed on BL's site.

Thus, I tend to 'double' check most information from BL.

Both colors came in that set, depending on which year you bought it. Mine is DBG.

I have 2 sets, one was incomplete but both have yellow shocks.
