Hello all,

I present to you my newest MOC, a trophy truck, called Firestorm. I started this project recently, and decided to share it on EB. It is still a work in progress, so not everything on the truck is final. Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

The model has: adjustable caster angle (thanks for the idea Sariel), connected independent rear trailing arms, a Servo for steering, and 2 L-motors for drive. I am also working on 2 other chassis that are still in development.

Promising start, for embedding You don't need to resize, Bricksafe has the option - move the cursor on the picture, and select the matching resolution. After that You can use the link of it here.

I like your progress, but aren't the rear wheels slightly inclined?I am not an expert in suspensions but a second 9l link under the axle would fix it without destroying the geometry , right?

Update time! :classic:

I have made some progress on the truck, so I'm sharing it. I have added another 9L link underneath the suspension, added mock-ups of the front fenders, added a half- finished front suspension, and added a windshield, that I may replace with one that I already had built. Also, the windshield may remind you of something...

I borrowed some ideas just to see what it would look like, and it turned out surprisingly well, but I'll probably change it. Anyway, here are some photos of my progress:

Could you fit a black 20 tooth gear for a hub on each of the axles? I tried it on my latest MOC, and it looks quite nice in my humble opinion.

Hello,

I have changed the windshield and modified the hood. All that's left is to add rear fenders, add a Minizip, and make an LDD file. Some pics:800x480.jpg800x480.jpg800x480.jpg800x480.jpg

It looks great already, but if you have a red liftarm to go in the roof( between the two panels) and a red 3x11 panel for the front of would improve the look.

I have never seen a link used as an a-pillar, very clever!

I think I have enough parts in white for bodywork ;)

really nice truck @Offroadcreat1ons. I just got a large tub completely full of gears, pin joiners, axles, etc, and am gonna make my own truck (I'm going to be stuck with tiny wheels though :sceptic: ) but I have some springs now!

Not bad, but the body work only looks like you went 50 percent with it. You have done great on the parts you did, but I can't tell wether you are trying to make it light or are going for the more solid look. In summary I suggest just adding a bit more detail, maybe a bit more in the way of a front bumper, and a passenger seat would be nice too.

P.S. If the passenger seat area is where you put you battery box, I would move the BB to the back were the spare is, or even right behind the cab.

@XtremeBuilder Cool! It makes me happy to know that I have inspired other builders. :wink:

@PunkTacoNYC & Myers Lego Technic I was mostly trying to make a simple body that looked cool, and I was trying to make it strong. I do plan on adding more details and changing things like the front suspension to make this model stronger. Thanks for your input on how to make this truck better.

@wout1988 Thank you! :classic:
