Andy D Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 In the last few months I have built the 42009 A, took it apart and built the 42009 B. Both great builds. Then I built the 42008 A, fun, but it was no 42009 A or B. I had a second 42039, so I built the B model. I look at my stack (build queue) and most of the sets are fairly small. I am looking for a challenging build, so... I got to thinking, how about a re-build of the 42009 A? Hmmm.... Tear the 42009 B apart and chase parts for the A model. Which brings me to my question... What would you do to gather the parts (out of your inventory) Take the 42009 B apart, keep the parts available for the build, then just gather the parts per steps to build the A model? Or Get the parts list for the 42009 and find all of them from your inventory, then build? Anybody faced a similar decision? What did you do? What do you think would be easiest? Thanks, Andy D Quote
syclone Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I'd take the B-model apart, that way you don't spend a crazy amount of time gathering all the parts Quote
jono rocky Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I'd take the B-model apart, that way you don't spend a crazy amount of time gathering all the parts +1 I do this as well. Not all my sets are together, some on shelves most in pieces which is great for building other sets or modifying existing ones. Quote
zux Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I would suggest taking B-model apart and look for missing pieces in your inventory while building A-model. Quote
