MRP_ Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I have some normal small rims from the EV3 set, as well as from the 42037, and for a while I thought that other than the PP and vintage wheels that these were the only sizes at this scale. But recently I've realized that there must be more sizes, from seeing different mocs, specifically the pentax, when I tried to duplicate it's "hubcaps", and found they didn't fit. So my question is, how many sizes of wheels/rims are there (that can fit technic wheel hubs around this scale), and what tires fit which rims? (Just in case, these are the rims I have, sorry for the bad photo) https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bw3xDAPnR3sbZnlhYTg2MUtJNms Quote
Saberwing40k Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Lego has a lot of different wheel and tire sizes, I'd say at least 20 to 30 rim types, depending on how you want to count them. The ones you have are called out on Bricklink as Racing Rim Small, and are 43.2 mm in diameter. There is also a larger variant, which is 56 mm in diameter, and is most commonly used in supercars. I think the Pentax uses these latter rims, which is why the hubcaps don't fit. Quote
MRP_ Posted May 16, 2016 Author Posted May 16, 2016 Ok, that was quite helpfull! Just a quick follow up question, do you know what size rims the unimog tires use, and what rims the 9398 use? Just wondering... Quote
Mantarri Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Use bricklink to find the set, and then click on "Set inventory" and find it their. Quote
PorkyMonster Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 On top of Bricklink, I often refer to this too: http://wheels.sariel.pl/ Quote
Dafgek81 Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Look at the site from Sariel, http://tools.sariel.pl/ On this site there is a wheel chart, here you can find almost all the wheels, their rimsizes, and weight. Quote
