Electricsteam Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 The non lego base plates are 35x81 ! I was thinking about either... A cleaning it up and painting it black and maybe paint on the Lego logo! B Taking off the old plates and making the base a little bigger for two of the large base plates. The racks on the bottom are just about big enough to stick a few boxes for Lego and such. What do ya'll think I should do with it? Quote
BrickCurve Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Interesting, can you fit 3 of the standard 32 x 32 base plates across it? Quote

BrickCurve Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 It can fit 2 and a half 32x plates Useful size then. Its a pity its so low to the ground otherwise is would be great for constructing/displaying MOCs on. Quote
dr_spock Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Attach some train rails and display your trains. Quote
Actor Builder Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Take it apart and make art out of the wood! Quote
Electricsteam Posted May 6, 2016 Author Posted May 6, 2016 Useful size then. Its a pity its so low to the ground otherwise is would be great for constructing/displaying MOCs on. It's probably just going to sit in front of the radiator/window so it doesn't need to be too tall. How dangerous would it be to make it.... taller..... Maybe another platform would be nice, I might be over thinking it though. Attach some train rails and display your trains. My two main trains are just about as long as the table.... so that might not work Take it apart and make art out of the wood! Noooo but my table! Quote
Actor Builder Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Noooo but my table! I had no idea you were so attached to it as a furnishing piece already! My apologies! My next suggestion would be to put it in front of your bathroom door, so nobody can get in without seeing your lovely table. Quote
legoguy1984 Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 I made one recently that is about the same height. It works for me as a build/display table but I also want my three year old son to see so it's a great height for him to get involved. If you are a Lego purist replace the plates and use it for special displays that would be better viewed from a top down perspective. Quote
