Train layout help

Hi all, new to the group, I have a area of 90cm x 90cm, and my question is, can I get a Lego train set layout to work in this area, and help or plans would be great , thanks again. Paul

A layout no. A circle yes. This will take 70cm x 70 cm and you will need overhang for the train to run without obstruction.

Or maybe you have in mind some "open" layout? A couple of straight tracks, some switch track and buildings?

An open layout, do you mean 2 lines with crossover or points , to switch them over, thanks your reply.

Open means open ended, the tracks do not form a continuous loop. You would have to stop the train at the end of line and reverse to go in the other direction.

90cm x 90cm is tiny for Lego Trains. I'd almost say it's really not worth bothering. In fact, sod it: it's really not worth bothering.
