Hello!

Here is my new creation, a model of a Ural 532301.

It's features are:

  • 8x8 drive from a Xl motor
  • Steering from an M motor
  • 2 speed gearbox from an M motor (gear ratios 1:10 and 1:3.333)
  • 4 live axles with flex axle leaf springs
  • Controlled via Sbrick

It is really fun to drive around as it goes pretty much anywhere it fits. It is fairly fast in second gear too.

It has tons of torque in first gear, but the limiting factors are the u-joints that like to break into pieces when all the weight is on one axle.

I might try to make some building instructions later.

If I do, I'll charge a small fee for it. What would be a good amount?

Wow, interesting drivetrain, small pack with all the obligatory features, in one word: fantastic!:classic:

Would it work with 56x26 balloon wheels too? If yes, could You please make a picture about it?

Thanks!

Balloon tires wouldn't work, they'd rub each other.

With some modification it would work well though.

Great job. I love the scale, and the complexity of the suspension and the drivetrain.

Thanks!

I'm very pleased with the drivetrain myself, it doesn't torque-twist axle 3 when power goes to axle 4 for example, as a single-driveshaft one would.

Very good recreation of the original, interesting drivetrain!

Thank you!

Always love your solutions,.. if you make instructions and charge a fee i'd say 5,- is a nice amount. 10,- for something with a bit more body..
