ALMERE, THE NETHERLANDS - A man, fan of lego, bought on 4 July 2007 the new Lego City summer sets and some Star Wars sets. He never threw away ANY of the boxes from his Lego sets. And after he opened the boxes from his new sets and putted the boxes next to all the other boxes in his basement, he thought of making a house for his daughter from the boxes.

So after he assembled his new sets, he placed a table, chair and lamp next to the pile of boxes and toke some glue and scissors. He started measuring, gluing and cutting. He worked on the house for the whole weekend. You may think: "A house? That guy must have a fortress of sets!". No offcourse not a real house, but just a playhouse for his daughter to place in the livingroom :-D .

After the weekend and the monday, it was finished. It was 1.2 meters (= 4 feet) high and had a window and a door. His daughter really enjoyed it and she was thankfull for it. I couldn't find a picture of it and i didn't photograph it when i visited him, but it was beutiful. *wub*

What a weird and funny story! *wacko* *y*

Pretty heartwarming too, I imagine that those boxes, like many AFOL's, were pretty precious to him.

Funny thing, my friends think I'm so obsessed with lego, they keep annoying me about building myself a lego house to live in! *wacko*

But now that doesn't sound too bad..........

Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

I made in the past a little paper fortress for my rabbit. He found it cosy.

oh no, He had a house in the garden and only in the evening when it was cold, we took him inside for a hour before he went to sleep. We put him in the hall, because there were no cable to chew on and he could not hide under a table or something like that. And when he must to bed we only took the box off him if he was inside. :-)
