Dfenz Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 (edited) I came across this fantastic store display for the new (2007) castle sets in a huge German department store located beside Alexanderplatz train station. I haven't seen this posted before but if it has the thread can be locked. Enjoy David http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Dfenz/Ca...in/img_1672.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Dfenz/Ca...in/img_1673.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Dfenz/Ca...in/img_1674.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Dfenz/Ca...in/img_1675.jpg PS the skeletons are on a moving track that has them marching over the bridge into the castle !! iamded Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 (edited) Stunning! Amazing! Fantastic! Wonderful! This is just so awesome! The massive Skellie Castle is sweet (UCS Castle?? :-P), staying true to the Skellies, as is the Crownies Castle! Now, lets wait till next year to see an Ork and Dwarf layout. X-D :-P ~Peace Edited December 16, 2007 by iamded Quote
Asuka Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 A very impressive layout with an interesting blown-up design, great find, Dfenz! *y* Quote

Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted December 16, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted December 16, 2007 What a massive display *wub* There is so much on these pictures... Where ever I look there is something special to see. Thanks for posting! Quote
Siegfried Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 That has to be the best store display I have ever seen. *wub* I love how the large displays are built in the same theme and styles as the actual sets. I doubt that this display would produce enough sales to justify the expense though. This has to be more than just for promotional; surely this can't all be store stock... 8- Quote
Vader Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Simply stunning...... This is without a doubt one of the best moc displays that i have ever had the pleasure of viewing *wub* Quote
Fordo Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Yes, This is definately one of the best MOC's I've ever seen. So Much detail put into ever inch it's incredible to think how much that must have cost. I wish we had more pictures and to see if there is any interior detail aswell. Just an Amazing piece of work. WarnIcarus Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 I really like how there are so many little side stories in this MOC. How many minifigs do you think are on this whole thing? I like the skeletons trying to climb up the side of the cliff in picture 3. Quote
TheFrisian Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 HOLY CR*P!!! Thats one BIG display!!! (would love to get a load of those minifigs X-D) Quote
Dfenz Posted December 17, 2007 Author Posted December 17, 2007 Yes, This is definately one of the best MOC's I've ever seen. So Much detail put into ever inch it's incredible to think how much that must have cost. I wish we had more pictures and to see if there is any interior detail aswell. Just an Amazing piece of work. While I don't have more pictures, my camera is not too bad and I might be able to focus in on particular areas in a lot more detail if a few people are interested in specific areas of the design. While I'll check to see if the resolution is powerful enough to peer inside the castle, I don't recall there being an interior. My personal favourite is the cave underneath where there is an escape in progress. David Quote
