DuckBricks Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Hey everyone! I've recently been testing out some really basic minifigure customization techniques and have a question for you all. I am trying to make a Reverse-Flash minifigure (among others) and haver already applied decals to the torso and rubbed the yellow out of the normal Flash cowl to make it all read (and touched up remaining yellow specs with red Sharpie). What I'm stumped with is how I would make the rest of the cowl (the area excluding the lightning bolts) all yellow. I was considering paint but I'm not sure how well that would hold up on the rubber element. I've seen others do it before and was wondering if you guys had any tips on specific paint or other methods I could use. Thanks for helping me out on what is pretty much my very first customization job ever. Thanks so much! legozebra Quote
Rinzler Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I do think paint works, I think it just depends on which kind you use Quote
HawkLord Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 As a minis painter, I would recommend using a spray white primer for a base and then a spray yellow paint for the color. The reason being that it's really hard to paint a light color on a dark base - we see this all the time in Lego (Captain America). Just make sure to use super light coats. Quote
