So, I'm working on the largest MOC I've ever thought of making and need some opinions.

The model itself will be a building that should occupy 95% of the surface area. I'd like it to include two 32x32 baseplates and one 48x48 baseplate as the base of the model. Now, I know it'll have to have a base of material built on the baseplates for the model to stand on. Would it be more stable to connect all the baseplates and create a floor with two layers of plates or to connect all the baseplates and create a floor with bricks? I want this to be relatively easy to pick up and move, so I'm looking for a formula to do that with either plates or bricks.

What do think?

I would always recommend plates for this sort of thing. The baseplates can flex, mores than with bricks, though I think plates look nicer in general.

For anything of this size, I recommend building in baseplate size models.

Connecting the base plates with friction pins, with bricks around them to raise the height. Then add a layer or two of plates for extra strength.
