Anthony12901 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 So I wondered how to connect Old kanohi heads to using CCBS. I thought maybe I could use this piece( https://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=98565&idColor=85#T=C&C=85 ) (Gray Connector) and using an axle to connect to the brainstalk, and the ball like piece, and use the gray connector to connect to a standard ccbs body, and the other side to the ball piece. That would make the neck too long though. How else do you think I could connect it? Quote
Takanuinuva Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Use the Star Wars constraction torso? Though you'd have to add custom shoulders. http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=24010&idColor=11#T=C&C=11 Quote
Anthony12901 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 Thats ok. I didn't even know that there was a star wars torso. But which piece would I use if connecting? I could use this piece: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=92907&idColor=11#T=C&C=11 To connect onto the back side using a pin at the top hole, and run and axle through the front axle holes of the piece, which would connect to this piece: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=6553&idColor=11#T=C&C=11 That would connect to the head. Takanuinuva Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) Here is a moc up I made in LDD using parts as a stand in for the Star Wars torso http://www.brickshel...torso_moc_1.png (With shoulder and neck assembly seperated) http://www.brickshel...torso_moc_2.png (With shoulder and neck assembly connected) All of the body armor pieces can connect to the Star Wars torso except for the breakout one http://alpha.brickli...lor=11#T=C&C=11 Edited April 12, 2016 by Takanuinuva Quote
Anthony12901 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 I guess that could work. I have LDD too so maybe I can make something... Quote
PrimoUltimo Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 If by old head you mean Toa Mata head, then I have solution, but it is little violent method. http://img07.deviantart.net/fdf3/i/2015/170/c/5/old_bionicle_head__for_new_ccbs_body_by_ultimo10-d8xyvp3.jpg Quote

What piece is that? I'm stunned for no reason.:-3 Which sets did it come in? Quote
Darking Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) It's actually a 4M Bone Piece. He just cut the ball off, hence why he said it's a "violent method". Edited April 13, 2016 by Darking Quote

PrimoUltimo Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Oh.....:-P derp. What did he cut it off with? I used pincers. Beside it need some strength to push it to head, because it's a little more thick then a normal axle, and later it also hard to push it out of head. It's not perfect, but I don't find better and nicer way to connect old head with new body. Here how it looks on Kopaka: http://img15.deviantart.net/d5b5/i/2015/125/d/7/2001_bionicle_head_on_2015_body_by_ultimo10-d8s9cjx.jpg http://img06.deviantart.net/17db/i/2015/125/d/0/oryginal_kanohi_akaku_from_2001_on_2015_body_by_ultimo10-d8s9e8a.jpg Quote

Thanks for telling. (Kopaka's Old Mask looks pretty good on Kopaka15.) Quote
