natelite Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 look at the snot technique. that's very close to the "real" thing. real because it's actually modelled after a fictional futuristic bike. but still...look at it!!! also from the same creator, the WV beetle!!! this model beats tlc's official design by a mile. make that a thousand mile. i think for 16+ models, tlc should really make an exception to the vertical stack rule. i mean, 16+ should be smart enough to use snot techniques. it's something i would love to see in an official model. *wub* *wub* *wub* it even has a child seat. lol :-D X-D *y* Quote
Brickmaster Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Although Ive seen these models, and theyre beautiful ( *wub* ) I must digress about the lego VW comment, I really like what theyve come up with in a plethora of dark blue plates, and this is a model of the new beetle, I much much prefer the old style as with lego has gone :-$ Quote
Asuka Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Absolutely beautiful, a very cool find, natelite! *wub* Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Absolutely beautiful, a very cool find, natelite! *wub* I agree with you Asuka, That VW is amazing! I would like to see that bike without stickers though 8-| *sweet* Quote
iamded Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Awesome! So SNOTey! :-D Great find, these look really great! *y* *y* ~Peace Quote
Siegfried Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Very beautiful MOCs indeed! *wub* Tan works so well as leather. I do think you are being a bit harsh to Lego though. MOCs don't need to care about prices, strength, part availability, ease of build or instruction design. i think for 16+ models, tlc should really make an exception to the vertical stack rule. i mean, 16+ should be smart enough to use snot techniques. I don't follow this point. Lego use SNOT all the time. Even ignoring the very SNOTty Hobby train (because it wasn't completely designed by Lego) and technic, almost every truck has a SNOT front, Wild Hunters was SNOTty, and Fast Flyers had loads of SNOT too... or am I missing your point? LuxorV Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Beautiful MOCs. I *wub* the moto, and I find the baby-seat in the Beetle is a great touch *y* Thanks for sharing this find, natelite. LuxorV Quote
DJ Force Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Okay, thats it. I quit MOCing. These are just TOO perfect, everything would look stupid next to those awesome creations. Quote

El Bucanero Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Wow! Look at those details. Harpoon guns as window wipers.. Very smart! This guy knows his stuff. Thanks for bringing this to our attention Natelite! *sweet* Quote
rupi Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Yes *sweet* these guys (Arvo brothers) are artists, they can do anything out of Lego. I have their Brickshelf folder in my favorites for a long time: Arvo brickshelf gallery Quote

Well, while I don't completely agree with you, you certainly make a good point with the Boeing 787. That thing was a huge disapointment. :'-( Quote
AgentRick Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 (edited) Actually, The bike is from an anime called Akira. Here's a pic of the bike from it: ;-) Edited December 15, 2007 by AgentRick57 Quote

I just want to comment on your quote. I would agree that these models are amazing, but do not give up on your models. We all have some sort of area that we like building models from, Town, Space, etc... All we can do is keep designing and building MOC's we like. We must never give up no matter how great looking another persons MOC may look. Use such models as inspiration. Model On!! Quote

Inspiring words Matthew - yes we must strive on, although sometimes I feel the same way and want to give up when I see beautiful creations like that Beetle! Dr. S. Quote
