El Bucanero Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Nice! If only lego would make Castles like these. The left tower is very pretty, same goes for the tudor at the right tower. Though, I think the black wall doesn't look good on this MOC. It's so.. solid black. A bit like the big gray wall sindrome, but black. Perhaps some gray stones here and there could make it look better. I would've used gray for the entire wall, with some dark gray stones scattered over the wall. Then again, this remains better than any castle I've made. *y* On to the tudor. The tudor itself is very cool, nice colourscheme! But I'm not sure about the roofing. I think it would alot better if you put it in a stud, so you can't see any studs of the roof bricks. Other than that it's fine. Ok, enough negative remarks now! I think the design is very good, and there's quite a lot of cool details! The cornerstones by the prison door and the windows really add something to this MOC. The vegetation is also very good. Good work! All these castles lately make me wish I had more gray bricks.. Quote
MicVash Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Geez, now I wish I had the pieces to make my own castle! I only have futurstic/mech parts pieces. However...an apocalyptic space castle? Hmm...you've inspired me sir. This piece is not only great for display but for play as well because of all the exposed levels on the backside. Hmm...a siege LEGO war, nice, inspired once again. The stone work around the window on the left tower is a really nice touch, same with the knight statue. I really like how you did the right tower, incorporating it with the timber house and finally adding a wooden outpost on top. I'm glad you made it wooden because it makes sense, the weight of the stone might be too dangerous on the whole structure in real life. Great job! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 That's a great MOC, AL FREDO! I especially like the very well designed outside and the treasure chamber with all these full treasure boxes. Very well done! Quote
