uh, fyi, wiki isnt the most reliable place on earth...

the next three makuta will be swamp adapted/That is a likely posiblitie since half of this year is in a swamp

one will be female/needs confirmation by a reliable source

the matoran are called av-matoran/right

matoran enslaved by shadow leaches//needs confirmation by a reliable source, kinda cliche' to last year huh

antraz, the leder, wears jutlin mask of corruption(rot/decay)/maybe

Indeed it is all true, confirmed by GregF on BZP. Except the evil Matoran are Matoran of Shadow, having had all their light sucked out by the Shadow Leeches.

BTW, Antroz isn't necessarily the leader.

Posted

wiki says he's the leader, but its wiki

and the chest launchers ammo are hollow and contain little blue spores(presumably shadow leaches)

and vamprah is mute

and chirox likes mutation

and theres eight makuta total(icarax, 6 canister, and another, mutran)

It's pretty recent, let me find the quote (yes, I'm having board message problems)...

EDIT: sorry, I can't find it and BS01 doesn't work currently...

Some more information:

*Antroz, Vamprah, and Chirox are blind

*The corrupted Matoran serve as the Makuta's "eyes"

*Kopaka is the leader of the Nuva team one

-ZotS

I saw that on BZP over the weekend, but couldn't post since I was sick.

I think the Makuta being blind thing is SO neat. Its a genius way to incorporate the Matoran (since when would Makuta EVER let Matoran ride them?) and, in a way I can't explain, it gives the Makuta an extra "evilness." I can't explain it, I just think it's a pretty cool idea.

I'm glad Kopaka is the leader, as I'm sure he'd make a good leader.

I also saw on BZP that the Av-Matoran, being early matoran, have light-based powers. Tanma acts as a living source of constant energy for Lewa's Midak, Solek can make physical objects of light, and Photok is really fast, I think.

So, storywise, I think 2008 is looking really good. The early 2008 sets are good as well, so it remains to be seen the real, non-store exclusive Titans for the year!

So far I like everything in the story, except the fact that the three Makuta are blind. While I admit it's a great excuse to the Matoran riding thing, I think it's a huge drawback and takes away from their aura of awesomeness. Also, Greg confirmed that they're permanently blind. That SUCKS.

I'm not sure of the thing about Vamprah not talking either....I understand that he doesn't like noise, but I would have preferred him to be like a cold and efficient assassin/tracker, rather than one that simply doesn't talk.

Shakar, they're permanently blind in those bodies. I'm sure that the Brotherhood could make them new armor. So it's not like they're doomed.

I don't see how it takes away from aura; they're still Makuta. And the blindness gives me a creepy feeling; you can't really be sure if they know you're there or not. I can see Lewa Nuva trying to sneak by Chirox, and then the latter says, "I know you're there."

For Vamprah, I don't really care if he talks or not. Being cold and methodical is a style, not a type of dialogue. Its people like Chirox and Mutran that should talk, as it will be fun to see how they speak to each other, considering Chirox does not think much of Mutran's experiments.

Yeah, that's something new... finally we'll have villains quarreling!

:-P

I don't know about blind Makuta... I would expect their other senses to be developed enough for them to get by still ('specially with piggyback ride services). I also doubt that, being spirits of shadow, they would have relied on vision too heavily in the past, as it's an ability that relies purely on light. But really, whatever.

I like the emphsis on light VS shadow in 2008, though, very fitting.

Even better, finally we'll have quarreling villains who don't want to kill each other!

Oh, as for news; Vamprah has the Mask of Hunger, which lets him choose to drain light, energy, or positive emotions from any target at a distance. Similar to the Rahkshi power, but now with choice. Vamprah prefers to use the positive emotion drain, but will drain energy in battle.

The full details are in Greg's blog on BZP. Chirox and Antroz come later this week.

His mask basically enhances a power he already has-now he can absorb energy from a distance, instead of just touching.

I figured that most of the mask powers would be Rahkshi powers.

When I said that I was thinking about a cold assassin who talks to his prey before killing it, but...now that I've read more about Vamprah, I think that the fact the doesn't talk makes him creepier.

Are you sure that the blindness is connected to their armour? Indeed, I was wondering how energy can be blinded.

And yes, the Chirox-Mutran relationship will be awesome, if played well.

more info! the nuva look different because they wear adaptive armour, which adjusts to their enviroment and offers better protection to "harmful things". it also helps them perform certain feats. artahka gave it to them and it includes their midak skyblasters. all of this info was found on BS01.

ikki, not eveyone goes there, and it makes sense to organise it on this site so that everyone has easy access to all of the info in one place. also, some info like the summer makuta names, were not on bs01 that i could see.
