simonjedi Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 from what i can see they look alright. i'll reserve judgment until i see better pics and actually have a indy set Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 can you tell me something?what does it have printed in big capital letters across these pics? 'Cause they are preliminary and are not in the final stage. However, most Lego sets that look the same as in the preliminary pics... -ZotS Quote
xwingyoda Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 'Cause they are preliminary and are not in the final stage. However, most Lego sets that look the same as in the preliminary pics... Well not always, remember the Viking theme: the preliminary sets were totally different from the actual line !! Like I said, I like the real adventurer theme BUT I am suprise to see the building quality of these pics: the OT sets are much more detailed (even in the vegetation). So bear in mind that these are indeed prliminary and lets discuss them as is ;-) *yoda* Quote
Batbrick Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Taking Yoda's wise advice there. I'll say that these PRELIMINARY sets look like they are on a good track. No doubt they will get a tweaking, but right now I think the mix of vehicle and jungle really works. Can't wait to see the pic for the last one! 8- Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Yeah, true about the Vikings sets... truth is, I kind of liked the preliminary pics for them better... -ZotS Quote
Lt. Veers Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 OK lets stop thazt ASAP !! An ideology that made moree than 80 million deaths is NOT a laughing matter, so stop these bloody remarks !!Ideology's don't kill, people do! wiki: Communism is an ideology that promotes establishment of a classless, stateless social organization based on common ownership of the means of production. Batbrick Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Again, let's stay on topic and leave the other talk for community or other forums, thanks. :-) ________ Fair enough. I know this has probably been said, but when are these sets meant to be released, especially if anyone knows its release time in Aus? Hopefully they come before the movie, I would love to watch it and recognise all the scenes that I own in lego. Also, regarding Jungle duel, where is the duel element in it? *wacko* On a sidenote: Hinckley is a graphist admin now? When did this happen? Should I be scared? :-D Clearly Batbrick's mind has turned to mush! *wacko* Quote

When did this happen? Should I be scared? :-D That expalins why the solider is holding a katana X-D As for being scared, yes be very scared :-P I can see why, he is a website designer I believe and has done some great work(comics and such) P Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 The temple of akator looks like a truck. Yeah, maybe a Jack Stone truck.... *sweet* Quote
Big T Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Hmm these are hard to judge since we can't compare them to the movie counterparts at this stage. The tank thing has me intruiged, especially those two saws on it. Interesting perliminary pics regardless Quote
RememberTheLittleGuy Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Huh? Looks like it was custom-made. Not really so good-looking.:-X Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Keeping in mind that these are preliminary sets and as such are only rough estimates of what the final production versions are going to be like, there are some interesting design ideas (the Brush Eater 3000 in particular) that should make for some great sets. I was one of the more vocal disparagers of the Indy line, but it's winning me over! badger Quote
hollisbrick Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 These are great! not as good as i thought they'd be but still *wub*ly! So is the River chase...I think, the one with the jeep in it. *sweet* Quote
Piranha Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 The Jungle Duel set tent remind me of this part Nice recycling of parts, other things I noticed - the Soviet soldier is wearing an imperial uniform - I don't see Indy in the river chase set?! *wacko* - Great use of those exo-force blades on the jungle cutter - I see TLG uses the Soviet Star but not the Nazi swatiska - Where's the Huge Temple set? I want to see it real bad :'-( p Quote
Hinckley Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 The jungle cutter is based off of this vehicle in the movie: Quote
Siegfried Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Cool! This is just the kind of stuff that I wanted. All that green makes it a must buy for Dr S! :-D That's a bit of a serendipity for Lego that they make a new disc razor piece and then they need one for a license set. I wonder if it was actually made for Indy but found its way into Exo-Force sets first. I want them all! :-D The jungle cutter is based off of this vehicle in the movie: Great find! It's a good version too! *sweet* Quote

Scouty Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 I can't make any comments quite yet as I am uncertain, keeping in mind these are prelim' sets. They look neat. I can't wait for final pics *wub* . Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 I might have to turn the Nazi/Commie soldiers into my own army, seeing as I lack any decent torsos to do so currently. On another not, Hinckley, I did not notice you are now a Graphics Admin! Quote
Tanotrooper Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 nazis+communists=WWII fun :-P Might be interesting to see if there will be a red star printed on their caps and so... TT Quote
Mr Spielbrick Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 (edited) These are so extremely preliminary, I really can't say anything about it yet. The jungle cutter is something I'd never expect in an Indy movie, but I suppose I'll reserve judgement until the movie, etc. Guesses are they'll include Shia LeBoeuf, Cate Blanchett and John Hurt (maybe Ray Winstone?) in minifig form. Though I didn't see any blonde lady figs in those pics. Hmm. Too bad Hurt didn't get an Ollivander minifig in the Potter line. That would've made him square with Harrison Ford and Alfred Molina (and maybe Mark Hamill if we count the Joker) in having 2 minifigs based on him. IF we indeed DO get a John Hurt minifig this time, that is. Edited December 8, 2007 by Mr Spielbrick Quote
Andrex Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Admittedly plain, I adore that cutting tank <3. I'd nab the set just for that. Also, we've not even seen the latest movie, so for all we know those sets could depict memorable scenes o_O. Still, they are prelim, and for now nothing out of the ordinary ^^'. Quote
Lt. Veers Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Does anyone consider the possibility that these could be fake? I mean, with Indy sets appearing all over the market, how hard would an Indy figure be to get? Plus, the tent dosent look like a classic Lego tent, so it could be fake. Also, the red star may just be a custom decal. Sorry, but it just seems a little too early for preliminary pics to show up. But on the other hand, if these are real, they look great! *y* Quote
