buy bionicle lots or sets? for MOC

What would be recommended for mocs?

Should I buy lot's on ebay/bricklink or buy sets

Old Gen1 Bionicle or HF style parts which are better

Looking for the cheapest/best way to go about this. Thanks guys!

And also if you could share your experiences with buying sets or lots.

Cheapest way would probaly be bricklink. I wouldn't use lots cus they might give you left over parts, or broken parts. I over the years bought HF sets and taken them apart for the pieces.I'll rate the things in Cheapest to Most Exspensive

1.Bricklink: You only get the parts you need

2.Sets: Costs more, but you get more pieces to use at one time and don't have to plan ahead.

3.Lots: Might give you broken or unusable pieces.

Ohh.. I bought a ton of sets, mostly from craiglist which this guy sold me sets half off the original msrp.. and others from thrift stores/flea markets.. ugh I guess I went the expensive route ;-; sorry for the late reply! thank you

I would still recommend bulk parts lots. You might get some funky pieces and Megablocks mixed in, but it's way cheaper than either of the other two routes if you just want a huge volume of parts to play around with.
