Set Review: 8117 Storm Lasher

Here's another review of a 2008 Exo-Force Deep Jungle set: 8117 Storm Lasher. I have been picking up a new set every time I go back to check for more Indy sets. :-$

I'm really glad to see the set wasn't a flying gun, I guess soon those technic launchers will be another problem crossed off the list, which makes me happy the TLC is going back to its roots.

Ok, polite talking apart, I think this set is great, especially for the minirobot. Even so, I'm not planning to get it for now... Will see *sad*

And, Hinckley, the hinge piece is not new. Ok, I had mistaken it for this :-$ . The one in Storm Lasher is new *y* .

agreed. it's definitely one of the better 08 set. that and the hybrid tank. the rest is just a pain to look at.

i'm still debating whether to salvage it for parts or leave it intact. :-P

although i must say, the mini robots are quite nice. and again i like the robot's versions better than the human's.

although i must say, the mini robots are quite nice. and again i like the robot's versions better than the human's.

That's always the case for me. Although, I have the Assault Tiger and will start on it next. On the box it looks like it is wearing huge bell bottoms. :-D I want to get the Chameleon Hunter, I really like the look of it and forgot to pick it up. Guess I'll have to go back to TRU! :-$ Cross your fingers that I find more Indy sets! X-D

thanks for the review, although I still have no intentions of buying this, it's neat to know what's inside, the build etc... (the etc being the comic ;-) X-D ) It's wierd because I dont know what it is I dont like about this set.

Oh, I just *wub* theat mini-bot. Creepy, but strangely cute...

Nice piece selection, and the idea of something with rotors that double up as cutters storming (no pun intended) through the jungle ripping it apart is just fantastic (to me, anyway). I'm liking the new swords as rotors blades, that's pretty innovative, and the exhaust pipe pieces are intriguing.
