Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

Pete IS a villain. I can actually see him working as a minifigure.

I'm not saying physical things, but just the matter how many Mickey&Friends we would see. There's no doubt this franchise is the major one, but Pete would be in the sixth or seven place in the general order, anyway. He won't be in this series, that could be a sure thing.

I definitely see us getting Snow White. She was the main character of Disey's first big animation! Plus, she's only been made as a Duplo figure thus far.

Well, in the first place, she's not yet a minidoll.

Incredibles 2 isn't slated to hit theaters until 2019. Tinkerbell could easily come as a microfigure with Pan.

Yeah, that's why I says LEGO might have not made the deal yet. But we don't assume that everyone cannot wait until then. Or perhaps Edna would update all outfits so we'll see some different versions then .

Not sure about the microfig idea. Tinkerbell has her own franchise and could be considered an individual, but then, that would indeed ignore her comparative size. Her physical parts could be useful in other ways.

I'd rather not see them use a slot for Pete. Perhaps it's my bias toward the animated films, but Mickey & Friends aren't interesting to me.

pete could make a good pair with goofy, given their relationship in the goofy movie, goof troop etc, however, given the size of his body, i would hope for a moulded body or some kind of slip over "costume" like hotdog guy. like sulley and beast, he wouldnt look right with a normal body. comic book guy from the simpsons also needed a moulded body... his minifig looked funny.

They would not include Pete in the first wave of this series there are so many people they could include before him. Maybe in wave 3 or 4 of this series

Stinky Pete is the Prospector from Toy Story 2. Mickey's nemesis is called Pegleg Pete, Black Pete, or just Pete.

But I agree that he would need a molded head.

I wouldn't be so sure about people not knowing who Pete is. There are some kids who know him from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse because he does appear in that show from time to time anyway. But yeah I wouldn't want a slot to be wasted on Pete anyway. Now Oswald the Lucky Rabbit? Now ya talking my language. Also I want to have maybe Emperor Kuzco and Yzma for variety, maybe Robin Hood along with Hiro from Big Hero 6 for characters I'd like to see in that line up.

Do you think that because we've seen fake Belle & Snow minidolls ? If the hairpieces are quite similar, I wonder how the concurrent may have the model ?

She seems like an easy series 2 fig to me. Atm she's not too great since we got her in minidoll form, but after everyone gets genie and Aladdin in series 1 they will want her more when series 2 comes around. And that way you don't end up with 3 figs from 1 franchise in series 1

Her hair mold is great tho so I'm certain she'll end up a minifigure sooner or later.

I'm agree about Jasmine in series 2 and about her hair mold which is a great piece. I bought this set just for the carpet (no stickers :)) and the hairpiece :)

Do you think we could have the carpet with Abu in series 2 ? I know it's odd because the carpet is made with bricks but it's still a character, and if Abu don't come with Aladdin (I suppose Aladdin because of the Genie), Abu could be in series 2 with the carpet (like the animals in the Simpsons Series with a character) ? But, in fact, if we have pairs, series 1 Genie + Aladdin, and series 2, Jasmine + Jafar... Definitely Jafar instead of the carpet + Abu.

I have just one question more, from what I read, Disney series is just Disney classic, not Star Wars, Marvel.... and I'm ok with that but do you think it's possible to have in series 2 or 3 or... some characters from Once Upon A Time (the series / tv show), which is a Disney tv show ? It's because it's a Disney tv show, that the darwes have their real names like in the Disney Animated movie (only Disney can use these names, they are copyright protected), there are many references to the classic animated movies, so what I mean it's some characters like Emma? Henry (+ a book OUAT)? or Rumple ? Could this happen ? Thank you :)

Thank you, I think the same about these characters, I'm totally fan of the Flickr OUAT page (Buffy page too), and the fact this ABC tv show is owned by Disney...? That's why I precised i'm okay this is just a Disney classic movies series, without Disney Star Wars or Marvel. Is OUAT is in the same machin-chose (some thing category, an another English word I can remember now) than SW and Marvel ?. OUAT is also a licence like SW or Marvel but that new thing Disney does with this tv show, creating some dualities between the classic characters and the other character showed in the tv show, I mean there are lots of pairs, couples, heroes/villains, old/new, I'd like to see the classic Hook expected in series one next to Killian Jones, the "new" Hook in this Disney tv show (ok ABC, but still Disney). 10.53 PM on 31/12. The show isn't targeted at Lego's core demographic, so I doubt it would happen even if Disney owned the merchandising rights.

The show isn't targeted at Lego's core demographic, so I doubt it would happen even if Disney owned the merchandising rights.

Scrooge McDuck, Junior Woodchucks and Darkwing Duck are the ones I desperately, secretly want to have (with great other ones) since I know Disney finally comes in CMF :)
