Called in my local Lego store on Sunday July 24th ( Meadowhall UK ) to see what was new .. not a single Disney Minifigure pack to be seen anywhere O_O !!

Just called the LEGO store closest to me (45 mins away)...

They aren't getting the Disney figs anymore!

I still needed 6!

They are expected to return later this year, when the Disney Castle is released. There's also BrickLink and ebay.

I wish the guy who built the mechas would release the instructions ( I doubt he could sell them ? )

The minifigures seemed to have a very short initial shelf life .. I bought the last 7 that they had at a grocery store here in the UK for my niece .. she was with me .. we got Maleficent, Alice, Alien, 2 Mr Incredible and 2 Daisy ! She was pleased overall ^_^

Hopefully the rooms in the castle indicate future minifigs O_O

I'd be happy to pay for the instructions if they were for sale. With some MOCcers though, they just do it for their own pleasure and never sell or release the instructions. In those situations you just have to try and reverse engineer it from the pics or use it as inspiration for creating your own version.

Rumour has it the Series 1 Disney figures will be back later this year by the way. Apparently the first production run just ran out faster than TLG expected it too.

I hope so - I have a full set but would like 4/5/6 extras of the little green fellas

So has it been confirmed that they are going to be available on Sept 1st at Lego stores? Or just that they will be available again at some point in Sept?

Back at the end of July when I was looking for S16 around me, I found a Target that only had old series: 12, 13, and Disney. I would advise you to just look at all the Targets, Walmarts, and Toys R Us in your area, until you eventually find something. Also, if you're willing to be ripped off, some small hobby stores that sell little amounts of Lego might have them. Just look around as much as possible! If all else fails, buy on the secondary market.

Spotted a fresh case at an area Wal-Mart. Not sure if this is the long-rumored re-release or just stock from the original release that fell through the cracks.

I am thinking it is the re-release. I spotted some boxes at different Walmarts.

The site still has the S16 banner

I expected them to reverted it to the Disney one with the re-release

But isn't it kinda late? The Castle has been out for more than a month now

I saw a new case of them in Fleet Farm's seasonal toy section for $4.50.  Season 16 was also there for $4. Is that the case for the "re-release" elsewhere?

This happens for 'retired products' all the time. Suddenly a price hike happens when LEGO officially announce that they won't continue production of a set or CMF series. Don't count for re-release because it won't happen. Even the most popular animal costume minifigs took a number of years before getting a reissue in some other form (new packaging, etc). You have better luck getting it as a bundle.

When I said re-release I'm referring to the frequent rumor that S16 was pushed out early so the Disney series could be brought back after the release of the Disney castle. Several people on this page of the thread are talking about it and it appears to have happened to some degree based on several sightings. I know 3rd party resellers and small shops raise the prices for discontinued items all the time, but its fairly uncommon in big box retail stores that care mostly about having items on the shelves that turn over quickly. So I'm just curious if others saw the 4.50 price because it could indicate a trend for future CMF series.
