SirNadroj Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Hi folks! Here is one of my entries for Fine Clonier's Holdiay Vig contest. It features a snowman and a small section of a gingerbread house. You can see the SNOT all over the shingles! =) I also added white smoke, just to make it a little bigger, so no, a new pope has NOT been elected! ;-) This also features my custom Gingerbread Man minifigure! Feedback is always appreciated! =) Quote
ExoBuilder Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Wow, very nice! I love the snowman with the blue bucket! I like the gingerbread man! Quote
Derek Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Clever idea to use the chairs as siding! *sweet* *y* Quote
Corvus Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Good one! Where's Sinner in all of this? He ought to be in there, knocking the snowman over to retreive his beloved bucket! :-P Quote
zouave Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Nice design. The snowman is cleverly built. It there not a contest you haven't entered? :-) Quote

Darth_Legois Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Lol i love it especialy the ginger man! *y* mmmmmm ginger bread! X-D Quote
john cleese Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 This is a cute scene Sir N. I dont like the snowman though, he seems out of proportion, his nose is too big for his head and he looks very top-heavy. You really stunned me with the shingles technique using the chairs though. Overall good job on this vig. *wub* Quote
Corvus Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 There's a lot of smart piece usage in that MOC... 8- Quote

Siegfried Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I think the chairs have been around for a while, though probably discovered individually by a lot of people.... I once invented an encryption method but later discovered I was 50 years too late... :-| Quote
Corvus Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 (edited) I once invented an encryption method but later discovered I was 50 years too late... :-| Sorry. :-$ That came out wrong- I meant it's a great technique, but is pretty simple. Anyway, sorry. Stupid comment. Edited November 30, 2007 by Mr. Mandalorian Quote

Actually I was serious. I wasn't attacking you at all. I was just making the point that re-invention happens a lot... and it's annoying. :-/ Quote

I felt like a *bleep* after posting it. :-$ Reminds me of finally figuring out a math quiz in class, and realizing that we've moved on. Edited November 30, 2007 by Mr. Mandalorian Quote
iamded Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 A great creation Sir Nadroj! A wonderful house and the snow man is pretty neat too! *y* *sweet* So, a gingerbread house, is the snowman made of ice-cream? 'Cause that would be the icing on the cake! Or rather the... er... Ahem. ~Peace Quote
Batbrick Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Excellent vig SirNadroj! *y* I am sorry to say I don't like the snowman much, though admit there are not many other ways to do him. I do however love the chair SNOT technique, and the cool smoke plume! 8- Quote
